How is the Dream for someone using a ECV?

My dad will be renting an ECV for our trip next summer? Is the ship easy to maneuver with one? He used one last year in the parks and Disney was nothing but wonderful! I'm sure the ship will be the same way! Thanks!

You'll find elevators more of a challenge, mostly because of people who just don't see the scooter/wheelchair users waiting and plunge ahead into the elevators. And the passageways (on the deck with the rooms) are fairly narrow. Depending on how big the scooter is, you may wind up in some tight passing spaces (especially when the cleaning carts are in the passageway).

Be sure that he gets an accessible room, the doors on the regular rooms are not large enough for a scooter to get in, and the rooms themselves (the regular ones) won't have enough space for maneuvering a scooter inside.

Do the regular concierge cat. V rooms have space and wide enough doors for an ECV? My mother would greatly benefit from using one, as she does in the parks but didnt consider it an option when we booked Dream for next month.

Thank you.

I would think inside they would have enough room, but I believe all the "regular" rooms have "regular" sized doors. Only the accessible ones have the wider doors.

I've cruised the Dream twice while using an ECV. It's seriously a dream. I had no issues at all. Except for trying to get an elevator sometimes. I'd recommend the GoGo Elite scooter. It's a smaller one that makes it easier to manuever.

Completely opposite of being on the Wonder. I had a terrible time on the Wonder with my scooter. No automatic doors and the thresholds were too high for the scooter to go over. I kept getting stuck.

Getting it through the door and into the main portion of the room would be almost impossible. I would not be able to get my sister's rollator through unless folded. The bathroom doors are on one side and the closets on the other as you come into the room. Once in the room, as long as you did not plan to use the couch for sleeping, then you could probably have some space for it, but you would need to move some things around.

Thank you. I won't consider the scooter and appreciate your help.
