How is the construction at GF now ?

Thanks for taking the time to post pics and a video. The DVC building still looks a long way off from completion .
The GF still looks great, and the walls around the beach pool and play area are not too bad. Maybe the walls will be gone soon..........at least enough to see out onto the beach. We can hope, right. .

I wouldn't worry about it. We took the tour at ssr and our guide said they had a lot of Oct reservations.

I just went by it today and it is very far along on the exterior; it is beautiful.

I noticed the details, being an architect and a construction manager, but I do not notice it being some huge distraction. I wish I had time to get closer and get some pics for my co-workers; they would love it.

Whenever any of our building occupants complains about a construction project and its appearance, I always tell them with improvement, comes a little inconvenience.

For us veterans, once it opens, no one will remember its effect on the experience.

Remember BLT consturction and the effect on views from MK?????

Wow, reservations in the DVC building for October ? I guess the construction is on schedule. As just an onlooker, I would never imagine that it would be ready by October ! I guess they mostly have the facade to finish up on the outside, and the inside must be coming along nicely.

Lol, So true, so true. For the most part its just a minor inconvenience for GF guests. Doesnt really effect the guest stays except for some possible construction noise and the view. I think the view while passing on the monorail is worse than the view for those guests staying at GF.

Yea, the BLT project was more of a distraction than the GF project.
It turned out nicely, and most will never remember the "construction site" BLT.

Well after the GF project is done, we may have the Poly DVC construction to deal with next, lol.

If nothing else, they are following Walts vision .............
"It's something that will never be finished. Something that I can keep developing...and adding to."

If interested the Poly and lake sides of the building are nice. The roof is on and the siding is on. The GF side looks close to what it did in my video but the lower levels are sided but the upper and roof still need to be done. Probably will have the outside visually done in a week.

No, there is not MK view (totally blocked by the GF). One side faces the GF and lake, one faces the lake and Poly the other faces the monorail and parking lot.
