What is happening to using DAS at the SB+ rides. Has anyone got first hand info on how this worked at Soarin yet. I am a bit worried as I heard the DAS could nor be used at A &E while SB+ was being tried out, and wondered if they same applied to soarin and any others that are going to be done the same way (I have heard that TT will go that way and probably other head liners. As someone that due to medical need cannot always make it into the parks early - my planning me need a rethink if the new SB+ spreads and DAS are not allowed at these rides.

I have not read any first-hand reports from people with a DAS who also were impacted by the Standby tests.

My understanding during both the Anna&Elsa and the Soarin tests is that a party with DAS would be given the Standby Return card, the same as anyone else; I do not know if the return time window was extended or erased for those with a DAS. Once the attraction was closed to standby, it was also closed to DAS (as there is no more standby). The logic being that DAS holders have the same opportunity to obtain a Standby Return as any other guest. Whether they "tweak" that logic, or any other part of the process, remains to be seen.

I guess my suggestion is to plan your FP+ for the absolute "must-do" attractions -- in EPCOT that might mean prioritizing your choice of Tier1 attractions. Then if standby is available, either normal standby in line or with a return time, you get that opportunity.

Enjoy your vacation!
