How is PARKING at the parks???? scared of busses!

I'm seriously thinking of renting a compact car and letting DE take my bags (i'm assuming they will do this since we have ressies right, or my hubby can rent and i'll go with the kids on the bus) because of horror stories of bussing issues, esp at POR.

How is parking at MK, Epcot, and MGM? I'm not as concerned with AK as i heard those busses arent as crowded.

Do the parks have additional cost preferred parking? We like to leave and come back during the day...is it best to leave the car there and bus it back during non prime times?

I can rent a compact car for about 100- 125 for the week. I had already planned on taking a cab to two restaurants for a price of about 50.00 total for ride and tip.

Can you give me insight? thanks!

I can't help you with parking and traffic issues.

But as far as DME, it can't be used as a luggage-only service. At least one person from your party must check in at the DME Welcome Center AND ride the bus to the resort, or, according to Disney, your luggage will not be delivered to your resort.

Renting a car is a good option but if leaving the park during the day I would use the bus system myself. I like the car for going to the resorts to eat. They allow you a 2-3 hour pass at the hotels as long as you have ADR. The only other time I like the car is if leaving the parks at night the buses are horrible packed like sardines and the drivers drive like nuts. I nearly fell one night as I had to stand on the bus (which should not be allowed IMHO).
