I am sure the MNSSHP sells out on this night, but even at sold out capacity, does anyone have any experience. It looks like our trip may start on Sun, Oct 31st.

We haven't been to WDW in many years on Halloween (1981 and 1982!) Back then nothing was done for Halloween. My children were the only 2 dressed up! Times have changed and I think WDW has really found money makers in the parties for Halloween and Christmas. While they are fun, I really don't think they're worth the cost. I know many think differently but that's what I feel.

i am bumping this because i dont think the last poster read your question at all.

I was there this past Halloween. MNSSHP did sell out. MNSSHP was so busy it was not nearly as enjoyable as going in September. The wait times were long, long lines for candy, and tons of people. Overall, it was still cool to be there on Halloween. If you are looking for reduced wait times, you might be disappointed.

We went 10/31/08. It was crowded, but manageable. It was neat to be there on Halloween night! We would do it again in a heartbeat.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for your advice. We will be there with our 4 year old and 6 month old. We love Halloween so don't want to miss out while at Disney (our 4 year old loves to trick or treat). Are there other trick o treating opportunities besides the Halloween Party (even though we would probably do it - we love the MK parties). Maybe, the resorts? or Downtown Disney? Just looking for other options in case we decide not to do the party.

We were there 10/31/2009. It was sold out. It was busy. But we had a great time. We tricker treated. We walked on some rides. We got great picture opportunities. The parade was awesome!!! It was very managable for us :) We are doing it again this year!!!!

Glad to hear it is manageable! We'll be there this year on Halloween night! :) I was a little worried about the crowds, but I think I'm just going to go for it! LOL

And to the original poster, I've heard on these boards that Downtown Disney is CRAZY Busy, because lots of locals go there to Trick or Treat, because admission is free...

We haven't been there for Halloween in a number of years. I remember that day being very crowded so we did a monorail loop tour of the resorts. Kids were trick or treating in all the stores throughout the resorts.

We went a few years back. It was sold out for that night. Our friends were cast members, and told us since it is a hard ticketed event, there are much less ppl then if MNSSHP was not going on. Most folks were taking their kids to trick or treat, do photos, or participate in the special events. We were there for the rides! We were able to walk onto Space Mountain 3 times in a row. We did not trick or treat until the very end of the night, and we still able to fill our bags to capacity. Since there were 3 of us, and 2 were adults, my son had a TON of candy.

We were there about 5 or 6 years ago at MNSSHP on Halloween night. We had a blast, though it was more crowded than we expected. (We had been to other MNSSHP and MVMCP early in thier seasons and both events had low crowds). However, the longest line we were in was BTMRR, which was maybe 10-15 minutes.

They were passing out candy all throughout the park and there were long lines to get the candy. We walked right by all of them, and couldn't believe others would wait in line. You spend thousands of dollars to be there, and then spend your time waiting in long lines to get ten cent candy bars you could have bought at home? That's whack.

We ended up with loads of candy anyway. We stayed until park closing and the CMs were still passing out candy till the very end. At that point here were no lines at all and the CMs were literally putting handfuls of candy into our bags.

I can definitely say it was the best Halloween my DDs ever had!

Oh, I know they were trick-or-treating on the Boardwalk as well.

This special ticket night seem to becoming more popular each year. While I've never done Halloween Night (they do sell out) I have done the Halloween Party. It is lots of fun with lots of different entertainment going on. We do not do the rides on these nights. We enjoy the special shows going on thoughout the park.

We will be returning this fall for The Halloween Party. Haven't done it in a few years. The party nights are very busy but seem to thin out after the fireworks and first parade.
