We are flying out of GRR into Midway on Southwest. We have 1 hour for a plane change to continue onto MCO. Never flown through MDW before so just wondering if we have enough time?? We are flying in the first part of October.

Midway isn't too big. I believe all the Southwest flights are in the shorter terminal so if you have an hour there you should be fine catching your connection, ideally you're just moving down a few gates. Safe travels!

You shouldn't have any problem at all.

It should be fine. MDW is my layover of choice for SW. The terminal is easy to navigate. It can be a long walk from one end to the other, but 1 hour is plenty!

What a coincidence! We are flying out of GRR, connecting through MDW with a 1-hour plane change in October as well. We are leaving on the 14th so I would appreciate it if you post about your experience:goodvibes. We've had connections in Nashville, O'Hare and Atlanta, but never at Midway so I am curious as well.

The only big issue I've ever found at Midway is the security lines; they can be endless (I've been in situations where the line actually extended out into the parking garage bridge). However, as you are not dealing with that on a stopover, you'll be fine.

Agree with PPs. I've flown Southwest through Midway with an hour layover and not had a problem. BUT keep in mind that Southwest begins their boarding process about 30 minutes before your flight time. So if you land on time, try to be at the next gate 30 minutes before your next flight so you don't miss your boarding position. I didn't consider this last time, so even though I was in the A's, I didn't get there until the mid-B's were boarding.
