How is Mama Melrose?

Went there last week and it was nothing special but not horrible either.

Is mama melroses's a character meal? I didnt see any when i was there

Yes and no. There are CM's walking around occaisionally in costume (think from a golden era gone by [cue music]) but they aren't the big furry type characters.

While we were waiting to be seated there was a "show" that was put on in the lobby area between a male and female CM and later there was a lady character walking around interacting with guests. HTH

We ate there in October of 05, so I can not give you a very recent review. But I thought it was very good and it was probably the best service of any TS meal we had. I think that all depends on your server, and we had a great server at MM. I was nervous before eating there because of some negative reviews. But it turned out great!!!!

I have eaten here twice and I think it is ok. I only eat there for the fantasmic package. I have heard much better things about the one in Epcot.
It is not the worst meal I have ever had, but it was nothing to write home about either.
If I do the show again I plan on trying hollywood and vine.
But you should try it yourself, you may love it!

We ate there during our trip a few weeks ago. I thought the food was pretty good. The only complaints were that it took 25 minutes to seat us, but we did have 13 people. Also, while the service was prompt the waitress did argue with us repeatedly about what my son had ordered to eat. No characters or singing, but we did find it pretty good. The waitress did package the kids desserts to go because by then we were running late for Fantasmic.

We really love it and we are picky about Italian food, we're from the NYC metro area. The family style salad you get with the fantasmic package is one of the best I've ever had. We requested it the last time we were there, even though we were not on the package and they did it for us. The flatbreads are great. The food isn't the best Italian food, and Alfredo's in Epcot was better, but it is certainly better than Olive Garden! We've always had great service as well. We're eating there on our upcoming trip in late Dec. and looing forward to seeing Osborn lights on our way out.

We were just there this past May. The food wasn't bad, but we weren't that impressed. Nothing you can't find at Olive Garden or Macaroni Grill chains.

In May, we had the dining plan for the first time, ever. We were able to get a ressie to try this place out. We were very disappointed. The food was was not hot, but not cold either. It was just ok. I definately would not eat here again.

In my opinion, it's the most decent Italian restaurant in Disney World. I had a great meal, great appetizer. My mom, however, had a wood grilled beef tenderloin, that wasn't quite as appetizing as my dish. It really depends on what you order there. Some things are great, other things could be better. But I love eating there. It's usually not that busy either.
