I know this one isn't a character meal anymore. What have your experiences been since it's just a regular meal now?

Went just last week and we enjoyed it.
Salad - mixed greens with a strawberry vinigrette
hot rolls
ham, roast beef, turkey
mashed potatoes, green beans, dressing, mac-n-cheese
apple cobbler with ice cream

We left stuffed. plus it is all you can eat.

We have always liked it. Its not fancy, just basic comfort food but honestly, it always tastes great. We miss the characters and so wish they'd come back!

It's basically Thanksgiving dinner every night. This appeals to a lot of people -myself included- but of course it's not everyone's cup of tea.

The restaurant sits in one of my favorite areas in the MK, so that prolly has a little bit to do with it.

Yes, some of the food is frozen Stouffers. But, it's 'restaurant quality', a bit better than the grade you can get at your supermarket.

We're really hoping they bring the characters back. ;)

Do people enjoy the lunch menu?

We always try to fit in a lunch here, its a great lunch spot! I really like the sandwiches here and my dh loves the griddled pound cake dessert and fried cheese appetizer. Its a nice break in the afternoon on a hot day, we don't usually leave the park for rest so a descent sit down perks us up for the rest of our touring plans!

the fried cheese appetizer is my main reason for wanting to go there lol!!! I also think the three chocolate brownie sounds good

Definitely considering this. I'm trying to get in new places this time. I wish we could have experienced the characters first, though!

My DDs (16 & 21) always request a dinner at LTT. When I ask where they want to eat - they both answer - the Thanksgiving Place!!!!

We had lunch at the LTT on our last visit to WDW (March 09). We really enjoyed our meal and will definitely go back on our next visit. The food portions were large and very good. We were surprised by the quantity of food with the kid's meals. Our daughter's turkey and mashed potatoes could have fed all three of my children. My husband and I both enjoyed the salad. (I think it was called the Colony Salad.) The atmosphere was nice and the service was wonderful. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch!

We ate back in December and it was decent food. The burgers were huge! We ordered the Triple Chocolate Brownie and it was a big letdown. It seemed like just a plain old brownie (and not a good one at that) and some ice cream. I saw a post about a Toffee dessert here that looked beyond yummy!

Hi there - We've always LOVED LTT dinner. Love the Thanksgiving dinner that I don't have to cook ;) But I definitely don't like it nearly as well with the characters. It's much better as a peaceful dinner place.

Lunch is fantastic at LTT!! I'm not so fond of dinner, but we always do lunch there. I like the turkey and dressing, DH loves the pot roast, DD1 gets the pasta, and DD2 loves the salad. We've always had great service, and the food has always come out very quickly.

This past December I went there for lunch with three of my friends from Orlando and had thought it was a really good place to eat.

I heard that sales were off for LTT since the characters went away so there are plans on bringing them back as soon as possible. I have seen the story other places so I will try and find a link.

The latest word now is that that was just a rumour, started by one man who I shall not mention on his Web site that's been known to be, um, less than factual in the past.

But, who knows ?

Disney works in mysterious ways. :wizard:

I am so happy to see all the good reviews on here. We are heading there for lunch on our upcoming trip and we have never been there to eat.

Great, just my luck. We are going to WDW in September and LTT was my dining choice the night we were planning on going to MNNSHP. Just my luck that someone who has nothing better to do then make up rumors may be behind this!
