I hope Kevin's mom is doing well. Feeling better? Good test results? Out of the hospital? Kevin's been awfully quiet...it's got me a little worried. Hope everything is okay.

I agree. The lack of update is worrisome. I hope she's better.

Sayhello

I came here to post the same thing. I hope things are ok with his mom.

In this case , hopefully no news is good news.

I was just thinking the same thing. Hopefully all is well and they are just busy with the new house and the petrified geckos.

Hi Folks,

My Mom is doing better. She was hospitalized for dehydration, a UTI and exhaustion.

She has been released from the hospital today and moved to. rehab center to help her get her fluid levels and energy level back up.

We have been told "maybe two weeks".

Thank you all for your prayers and good thoughts.

Beside my Mom being in the hospital, I have been sick A's a dog,

In addition, I woke up this morning with pink eye. After going to the DR, I find Iay have something called EKC.

This is short for epidemic kera conjunctivitus. This pink eye's Big Ugly Brother. It's extraordinarily contagious and there is no cure other that approximately two weeks time,

I will not know if I have regular old pink eye or EKC until we see how the antibiotic eye drops work tonight.

If it gets worse in spite of the eye drops.... it's EKC.

The DR asked if I lived alone. When I said no.... he suggested that I touch nothing in the house and specifically..... nothing John touches.

Not sure how that's gonna work in 900 square feet.

Thanks again for thinking of us.

Yikes. Kevin, that's awful!

I'm glad your mom is out of the hospital, at least.

I hope you are in good health much sooner than two weeks!

Kevin -- you know all those good wishes you have been sending me for the past few months. Well they worked great so now I am returning them to you and your Mom. Big hugs and lots of love. Hope you are all well very soon.

Carol
It's a great day to be alive!!!

I'm so sorry to hear about your eye, my daughter just got out of the hospital for a very bad eye infection. I hope those drops work! John should carry antiseptic spray and hand sanitizer with him EVERYWHERE :scared1:

Glad your Mom is doing better.

Two words...."bubble wrap". :rolleyes1
Just bubble wrap John. I think he would love it after a while.

Seriously, I'm very glad that your mom is doing better and hope for a fast full-recovery. :thumbsup2

I never thought I would write this but "I hope it is pink eye"! :confused3

Get well soon.

I hope you both get better soon. :flower3:

Wow Kevin. Just wow. Hope you and your Mom are better soon.

And don't pass it along to the Genius.

I'm so sorry to read this, eye infections are awful. :guilty: Especially when you've had previous eye problems. Sending lots of pixie dust so that the antibiotics will work.

Glad to hear your mom is out of the hospital, although I know going into rehab isn't ideal. Sending good thoughts and prayers for her to get back on track and home as soon as possible.

Shoot Kevin, that sounds terrible.

Hope you and mom recover quickly.

Anything we Dis'ers can do to help make you feel better? I could sing some Michael Bolton for you if you'd like? :goodvibes

Kevin I'm glad your Mom is doing better. I hope your eye gets better soon. Ekc sounds scary. I hope the drops work for you!

Many prayers for you & your Mom, Kevin. I'm sure John is taking good care of you both. :grouphug:

Glad your mom is doing better, but I'm sorry about your eye! I hope it's just normal pink eye and the drops make it better quick!
