I was wondering if RnR was a easy rollercoaster on your stomach? I love splash and the other coasters at MK.The only thing is if there are drops in the dark that really freaks me out, so if you could fill me in on the drops and such.
And I would never ride ToT just because I hate the feeling of falling. But has it made lots of people feel sick? I really think it looks like a fun ride.

I didn't have any problems with my stomach, and I do get motion sick. The only thing that bothered me was that I couldn't catch my breath after they shoot you forward. :scared1: I now know how a fish out of water must feel!

Hmm - tough question - if you LOVE rollar coasters, this is an awesome ride! It's much more of a "real" rollar coaster than Splash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. You're in the dark like Space Mountain but with corkscrews and loops -you're def. upside down on it. And of course, they launch you directly into your first loop (my favorite part. LOL) I think a more proper comparison is to true rollar coasters - which I think this & Space Mountain are the only 2 rides that Disney currently has that are coasters. I LOVE rollar coasters & this is one of my favorite rides. My husband who hates thrill rides, hates it. He loves Splash Mountain, BTMR and even will occasionally ride Space Mountain - won't get on this one again.

I don't like TOT very much - I do get very motion sick, but not on coasters. go figure. LOL. but ToT def. makes me sick -

Just go for it, half the problem about doing these kind of rides that your not sure of is the anxiety before the ride rather than the ride itself.

This is from a 40 something who had never ridden an upside down roller coaster before 2000, and my the 11 yr old daughter persuaded me to ride Kraken on our first day in Orlando.....never looked back.

(having said that, dont ask me to ride the tea cups...barffff.......)

What is that Nike saying ...."Just Do It!"

I think so, open yourself to the fun of it all.

"Whats the worst that could happen?"

Rides don't make me sick so I'm not much help on that. If you sit in the front seat (just ask the CM if it would be possible to wait and sit in the front) on RNRC, you really can see pretty well, so the drop in the dark thing wouldn't be so much of an issue. (Not as much air time in the front either.)RNRC is also much more of a "real" roller coaster so if you like coasters, you should like this one. It's pretty tame in comparison to alot of the big roller coasters at other theme parks, but definitely worth a ride IMO. There is an inversion (loop) and a couple of corkscrews, so if those would do you in, maybe you should skip it.

I find the starting acceleration quite uncomfortable but I can take the rest of the ride. R&R is "powered" at various times during the ride as opposed to being pulled up certain hills and allowed to coast freely (including around corkscrews) until the next hill with a hoist.

Hi

We will be at the end of our mega trip when you next visit, we leave on 6 November.

We're English and visit every 2-3 years or so, but this time for 21 days!!!

Planning a last trip to the F&W festival on Saturday 5th, but hey plans always change!!!!

Hope u enjoy!!!

This ride is all about SPEED! It's smooth and fast. It only lasts a little over a minute, how bad could that be? I hate the falling sensation, never again will I do the TOT! This ride is so fast that you don't feel any drops. The front seat is my favorite, too! The view is amazing and it seems less intense.

Wow Paul, did you say 21 days! Awesome!

Have Fun! :sunny:

There aren't really any major drops on R&R. It's mostly turns like Space Mountain, with the added bonus of loops and corkscrews.

If you're afraid of getting dizzy or queasy, try to sit near the front. I ended up in the very back seat last time I rode it, and WOW -- what an E-ticket ride!! I was all dizzy afterward, but what a rush! Try it & have fun!!

21 days??? Wow - I want a mega trip! LOL I hope you have a great time! We'll definitely be at the F&W Festival on the 5th - we've never been! (plus, we're going without the kids!! No picky eaters to worry about! LOL) If you are there, we should get together and enjoy some food & wine! LOL

Have a great trip!!!

Don't worry about drops because there really aren't any (very gradual dips just to pick up a little speed). The launch can be intimidating but the ride is over in just over a minute. As others have said the middle to the front of the train is the best place if your not a ride junkie.(I am) The rear pulls continuos through the ride so it's a bit more intense. That being said I wouldn't recomend the very front for your first ride. The reason is that when the train launches the additional wind created with no one in front of you will make it seem even faster. The ride is very smooth. Go for it.

Thank you all, you have talked me into considering riding it.
It looks like I can handle it, and those tips are great.
Now I just gotta talk someone in my family to ride it haha.

Jcriket, if you are undecided, you can go through the line to see the great pre-show, check out the launch and then leave through the "Chicken Exit" if you have to. You just tell the CM at the loading area that you aren't staying and they will point you towards the gift shop, where you can wait for your party. BTW, the gift shop is excellent!

WALK THIS WAY.....WALK THIS WAY.....WALK THIS WAY!!!!!!! :cool1:
(that's me singing the Aerosmith song! :smooth: )

Hmm I never thought about chickening out, I might just wait in line and I can always chicken out. Thanks!

If you do decide to ride it, try to pick this thread back up & let us know how you liked it!
Maybe even post the picture that they take!

There aren't really any big drops so it isn't bad.

I personally get a headache on it though unless I am in the front, because of the vibration.

Yeah thats a good idea, I'm not going for a few months. But I'll tell you if I ride it, and what I think.

Hold on at take off :earseek: ....I like roller coasters and I LOVED this one. I can't ride things that spin you around without barfing but R & R is so fast you hardly know you have done all the loops,,,,, We just got back Monday and this was one of my favorite rides...don't miss it.
