How is it going where you are?

I was curious how Covid cases are going where you are, what restrictions are/aren't in place etc...

I realize our case numbers are small potatoes compared to other places, but here in NB we're having quite a spike. We've actually got our worst numbers since the pandemic began.

Effective Tuesday at midnight they're making vaccines mandatory (must show both proof of vaccines and government ID) to access/participate in any of the following:


· indoor festivals, performing arts and sporting events;

· indoor and outdoor dining and drinking at restaurants, pubs and bars;

· movie theatres, nightclubs, amusement centres, pool halls, bowling alleys and casinos;

· gyms, indoor pools and indoor recreation facilities;

· indoor group exercise facilities;

· indoor organized gatherings including weddings, funerals, parties (excluding parties in a private dwelling), conferences and workshops;

· indoor organized group recreational sports, classes and activities; and

· visiting a long-term care facility.

All travel into, or returning to, the province must be pre-registered as well.

So how is it going where you are? I'll admit to being discouraged - I had hoped this fall would be better, but it's actually shaping up to be worse than last year.

While I def appreciate your information and your experience as always is so very helpful, think some mods are cranking down on this topic esp over the past 2 weeks. Just a heads up. We've had a really good run over the year re exchanging info and honest opinions, but my sense is that's at an end. Shame because we are by and large a very polite, self-policing supportive group that hears one another out. Personally, I've learned so much helpful and practical information from these topics that I would have been months behind getting my shots if not for my wonderful fellow DIS'rs on this forum. This forum literally helped me get the info I needed to be safe esp because our rollout was so slow and desperately hard to get vital location info in rural areas. Just putting that out there in case a mod is deliberating. Maybe possible to monitor closely without shutting down yet? From our lips to someone's ear.

I haven't been on much the last month or so, just here and there, mostly following the FP+ debacle. I guess we'll see how it goes. I just like to hear how things are in other areas, how restrictions compare etc...

Should still be fine then, since anything mentioned in my post would specifically relate to travel, as anyone traveling to NB, now has to follow these guidelines. They also have to pre-register their travel, too.
