we were planning a trip in May , but can't take it because my oldest has been quite ill. We got back all test results and they are all fine for anything major and he should be normal again soon. It has been quite scary and dissapointing because the boys know he missed too much school. In Feb. they get a 4 day weekend starting the 8th for teacher training, so no holiday involved, so we are thinking of taking a shorter trip, we never go on weekends but may do Saturday too. How do you guess it will be crowd wise? I would assume better then summer right. Then next is decideing to do a Christmas surprise or just go right after school and tell them we are going to California to visit some old relative! either way this plan is making me alot happier and I know they deserve a break soon too.

Crowds will be really low! Have a great time, I'm glad your son is getting better!

We are going Feb 9-11 and I am pretty sure crowds will be low. It is the weekend before Presidents Day week. I just hope it doesn't rain - late Jan and early Feb are notorious for lots of rain.

Anyway, have a great trip and pixie dust to your DS for a quick recovery

FYI
Some schools out here are off the 12th and 19th. So 2 Mondays in a row.

Don't know if other districts do this also. we are about 30 miles from DL..

We will most likely go then as our Annual passes are valid..

We are in Vegas also and are going the same weekend! We are getting there Wednesday and leaving Saturday. Hope a lot of Las Vegans don't have the same idea we do!

Can't skip days where the kids are off and it's not a holiday, it's too good to pass up!See you there.

I went Feb 12-15 a few years ago and it was great. It was the lowest crowds I've seen at DL and we were able to do everything that we wanted to.

Depends on if it's Mid Winter Break or not. Jeff has "presidents day week" off. We went last year and it was quite busy. Go before presidents day week and you should be fine.

Nope, it is the week before President's Day week so you should be fine!

Great ! Hope to see you there too Matterhorn! Now the hard part of keeping it a secret begins!

I don't know how you do it, I could never keep it all in!! We'll both be at the Desert Inn so we'll probably pass by you at some point!!! Less than 2 months to go!!

Ok can't keep it in that long............we made golden tickets for the kids stockings on Christmas. But trust me this we be a long week to keep a secret!
