How is dinner at 1900 Park Fare?

We loved it here. We have been for both dinner and breakfast and are going back for breakfast this trip. I can't wait. I actually planned the last seating for breakfast so we can go to the MK when it opens and then hit breakfast which will be almost lunch after we do the roller coasters. It should be less busy then too. The food is awesome. The strawberry soup is not a cream soup it is a cold soup that is like pureed strawberries, YUM!! It is so refreshing. I am hoping they will have their bread pudding this time and looking forward to freshly made omelettes too. I am getting hungry now, I can't wait!

We did the exact same thing you're doing, back in January. It was the first night of our trip. Our DD (then 3) dressed as Cinderella. And it was the PERFECT way to start the trip.

The food was excellent. I'll give another rousing recommendation for the strawberry soup. In addition, some other highlights were the mojo turkey, the apple chutney stuffed pork loin, the churizo stuffed pork loin, the sweet potatoes, and the rice crispy treats. EVERYTHING we had on the buffet was very good.

The character interaction, for us, was excellent. We saw the mice a multitude of times, got Cinderella twice, both for extended periods of time, and Prince Charming came over THREE times, for quite a bit each stop. He actually made our DD blush for the first time that I've ever seen (got down on one knee and kissed her hand, etc). The Fairy Godmother (who is usually outside the eating area in the entryway) was just stupendous, both as we were waiting to be seated AND when we were leaving.

The dinner was, IMHO, GREAT! It was, in all honesty, with the recent changes at CRT (both price and menu) a better experience than CRT. When we return to WDW, I'd be much more likely to book 1900 again than I would CRT. Don't get me wrong, CRT is something that everyone should do once just for the experience, but 1900 had better food, better character interaction for longer times and was far less expensive. Two BIG thumbs up from me!

Count us in too for Christmas dinner (on 12-25) at 1900 Park Fare - we have an ADR at 4:10pm. By the way, we're also from WI :)

I believe that our ADR's are for 6:30 or maybe 6?? Maybe we will see each other in passing. How neat!!!!

We live near Green Bay. We go to Appleton shopping a couple of times a year. Were just in Little Chute for a B-Ball tourney for my son. :)

Hi-- I have pics from this Character Meal-- PM me your email and I would be happy to send if you would like to see!

Wow I am surprised by all the great reviews! We were there on 7/3 for dinner and I must say not one of the 7 in my party was impressed by the food (DH,ME,DS15,DS11,DD8,DSD8,DD4) We actually stopped and got a CS later on!

The characters were awesome,no complaint there!
The food was eehhh.
They had 3 different rolls to choose from and all were on the hard side
The salads were blah-The garden greens was about all you got,not much to add to it (they had ceasar also but it was mushy, and a couple of other salads) They had the strawberry soup but I didn't try it(I like my soup hot)
They had some type of porkchops which didn't sound appealing, curry chicken(not very good) portobello ravioli(I skipped it) The turkey I ate but it was very dry---The prime rib(I think) was chewy they also had a pasta stand but they only had one kind of pasta and it was so covered in spices my eyes watered up and my tongue was on fire(started with an M-Madeira I think)

The kids area was slim pickings also---I got mashed potatoes for myself here and they were fine, just normal mashed and I got my corn here also
They had pizza and macaroni and cheese which the kids didn't like(they said it kept sticking to their teeth and roof of mouth

The desserts weren't plentiful but lemon tart was incredible!

We based our picking of this restaurant on the menu but half the stuff wasn't there and what was there was "big people" food and I guess we are not that grown up because we didn't like it!
We decided to not add this restaurant on our next trip in January because of the food! If it was the characters and a more normal buffet we would be all over it but as it stands it is not worth it to us to spend that money on that meal when we need to buy another meal to supplement it!
