They seem to have the best deal (well they all seem to be the same price but this package gives us character dining) but at over $2K I was wondering if they have any kind of return/refund policy or cancellation policy (an older family member may be ill at the time, she won't be going but we might have to stay home).

Their package is the same price and cancellation policy as going through WDTC, it just includes a few extra perks, like a character meal voucher. I think it is a 30 day cancellation. If you are likely to cancel after that, you should book everything separately.

You should check with Costco and get there official word on cancellations. I agree, with the above poster, I think you have a 30 day window to cancel. However, they will allow you to change reservations. I can't say what the rules are for sure, but think it is something like 3 days before the start of your trip and there may be fees involved too.

You can also purchase trip insurance, if there is the possibility of canceling due to an illness.
