I have read mixed review on the dinner here. We have a PS at 7pm for NYE and I am trying decide to eat here or at Tepenyaki. Thanks for any suggestions.

We were just there in August, and it was very good as usual. It's not gourmet, but very tasty. They've moved the dessert bar off the regular buffet to make more room for additional selections and a carving station.

Personally I think it's the best value for the money in all of WDW if you like seafood. :)

Teppanyaki is also good, although we don't eat there very often as we can get the exact same thing here in NJ at Shogun or Benihana or any number of other places. It is a nice party type atmosphere though. :)

Anne,

Is it really just like Shogun here? If so, I would rather eat at Cape May and save some $$.

Thanks

Pretty much, except they don't have the yummy noodles that Shogun has, only the rice. I actually prefer Shogun, especially if you get the Costa Rican chef :)

Anne, thanks. No noodles?!!! It looks more and more like Cape May. We have 11 people and I am picking up the tabs. It is easier on the bill too.

Thanks again.

We had dinner at the Cape May Clam Bake in June and the food was very good. There is a lot to choose from so everyone will find something to eat. You don't even have to like seafood to enjoy this dinner.
IMHO the best value of all the dinner buffets at WDW.

We go every year and just went in aug. If you have never been there efore then you will not notice the difference. The main difference we noticed was with the desserts they definetely cut back on the offerings, boo hoo, no more lemon tarts and we found the prime rib to be very overdone and hard to chew. Also was cut too thick. Should have been much thinner. It was o.k. but we could tell the difference.

Hi, we are also there in June 03 and Oct 02 and loved it. The dessert bar has been cut back (boo hoo0cannever have to many!) but found the food and service excellent. We visit there at least twice on every vacation. Best lemonade on property.

lat,
We ate at Cape May last NYE and loved it. Since we were staying at BWV, we decided to eat somewhere close to "home" that night to avoid the crowds, traffic, etc. It worked out great! We enjoyed good food, good service and most importantly, good desserts! :D I would encourage you to give it a try.

Thanks for all your replies.

Danacath, when you ate there last year, did they give you anything extra for being there for NYE? Was it the same offering and price as in other times? Thanks

Is my choice vs Cape May we just love the fresh food prepared for you in entertaining manner at Teppanyaki.I'm not a buffet fan anyway.:wizard:

we did Cape May about 6 months ago Lat...
we thought it was good, but being from Boston .....
we love seafood ... and like i said the food that they had was of good quiality but nothing like the stuff we get around here......... Peter

I'm sure that Teppanyaki would be a wonderful choice, too. I guess it all depends on what you're looking for on NYE. Our personal preference on NYE is to avoid the crowded parks and eat at a resort instead. Our crew enjoys the occasional buffet, so it works for us.

lat, They didn't appear to be offering anything special last year for NYE, as best as I can recall, and I think that the price was the same, too. Whatever you decide on, have a great time! :jester:
