How Is AKl Room Service?

I would love to try AKL room service at least once on our trip and was wondering how the food was? It would be great to sit out on my balcony and eat great food. So, lets hear it does the food measure up? Any help would be appreciated

We had an in room breakfast when we were there. It was very good, hot and fresh. It arrived on the minute to when we scheduled it, I was very impressed. We didn't eat on the balcony because I was afraid, my then, 18 month old would throw food to the animals-lol.

I will be staying at AKL Dec. 10th-14th & will be getting room service a couple of times.

My question is, is the 18% that is added on the tip or do have to tip on top of that?

I would like to know before I go, so I don't look stupid asking when I arrive .

I ordered room service there a couple of times when we stayed there last may. DH was away on business, and I was doing WDW solo. The food was OK, but I felt that the menu descriptions were not accurate. For example, one morning, I ordered their stuffed french toast, expecting to get something like Tonga toast. However their stuffed french toast has raisins and I think nuts in it - I did not enjoy it as much. Another morning, i ordered the Belgian waffle with fruit. I asked when I ordered if it was a choice of fruit or what. The woman I spoke to said that I should tell her what I wanted, and that's what I would get. I asked for strawberries with the waffle. Well, when the waffle arrived, it came with a very small container of mixed fruit - orange, melon, berries, grapefruit. It was not at all what I expected.

if you order room service ( its 1 adult and 2 kids ) can i get 3 kids meals without any hassle ??? Thanks Michelle

I don't see why not. They can't make an adult order an adult meal.
