Has anyone been to the 1900 Park Faire character breakfast recently? How was it, and what characters were there?

My wife and 3-year old and 4-year old daughters will be driving through the night from Maryland, arriving at Disney on a Sunday morning around 7 a.m. I figure this will be a good way to start our trip (we won't be going to any parks until the next day).

The only other character meal we are planning on is the Cinderella Royal Table at Magic Kingdom a few days later.

Thanks.

We did the breakfast just two weeks ago.

The food is terrif -- Mickey waffles, eggs, cereal, sausage, bacon, yogurt, strawberry soup, AMAZING parmesian potatoes, and a very fine omlette station. Plus more that, I'm sure, I've forgotten.

And the characters? How can you top Mary Poppins, Bert, Alice and the Mad Hatter? Plus the occasional visit by Pooh or Eeyore?

Go and enjoy! :D

p.s. You from Maryland? Me too. Where? (FWIW: I grew up in Rockville, moved to Spencerville, attended high school in Laurel, and college at College Park.)

We've always found this to be quite enjoyable. A great assortment of breakfast foods and an omlette station as well. The character interaction has always been top notch when I've been there. Our last vaction was over the July 4th holiday. Pooh was greeting in the outside area, Eeyore, the Mad Hatter, Alice and Mary Poppins were visiting the tables. The Mad Hatter was very colorful and really had us laughing the whole time. Whenever Mary or Alice were not looking he'd do something outrageous to get their attention!:D

It is our favorite breakfast... characters or not!!!

When we were there we saw Mary Poppins and Bert coloring with the children in the lobby. In the actual restaurant were Alice in Wonderland, Tigger and Pooh. On some days the Mad Hatter and Eeyore will appear, as well. We went on a Sunday.

The food here is outstanding. We really enjoyed the all you can eat buffet... it had a wonderful selection, and we highly recommend the omelet bar. There is a separate, somewhat elaborate buffet just for kids, and it is at their level, so most can serve themselves. It featured cheese and eggs, Mickey waffles, cereal, hashbrowns (the medallion type that are fried), bacon, sausage and sweet rolls. The orange juice is free flowing... our glasses were never allowed to get less than half full. The service was WONDERFUL, as was the character interaction.

If we were to do another character breakfast, this would be the one we would choose...bar none!

Haven't been there before, but plan on going there this trip in April. Will make for a great relaxing day off start.

The food sounds great, omelettes and all.

Kids will love the kid service area too!

Is Mary Poppins very interactive?

I believe this to be the top breakfast buffet in WDW. Food quality is great, characters top notch.

Is Mary Poppins very interactive?

Yes, she is very good with the kids, and sounds just like Julie Andrews! When we were there she and Bert were coloring with the kids in the restaurant lobby... but I have heard there are times when she visits the tables as well!
