Hey Folks! Since its not allowed to talk about this subject in the actual VMK I would like to know (just for fun) how international VMK is.

So if you are from an other country than the US(sorry mates but the majority of the people are from there :teacher: )

give me a post here :)

As my signature says, Im from good ol´Germany. I guess I am the only German with a strong accent from Texas :rotfl2:

A sentence in your language would be cool too like:

I love Virtual Magic Kingdom

or in German:

Ich liebe Virtual Magic Kingdom

Hi, I'm from England. Since we are supposed to have the same language as America I can not type anything other than - I love VMK
I really like being able to talk to people from all over the world with a love of Disney. It just proves how small the world really is :Pinkbounc

I am from America but part of my sig in is German...does that count? Hehe. I thought it was funny to run into this thread soon after I added that statement in German....maybe you can tell me if I wrote it correctly? My German is not so good.

Hi,
I'm from Scotland and really love VMK!
The VMK forum on here has been a great help too!

You forgot your Scottish quote....LOL

Okay I will stay away now since I am American...

Yo, basically most of your German is ok, but the last sentence needs to be corrected because it sounds kind funny ;)

Möchtest du mit mir Disney erleben?

Would be better... Means: Would you like to experience Disney with me.

Aye, ya Scotsmen are al´right, arent ya?
Ol´Shamas is in da board too aye?

Lol kinda stereotype I guess ;)

So, what I have (which is supposed to be "Would you like to come to Disney World with me?"...) is incorrect? How does what I have written translate to English, exactly?
Would "Möchten Sie zur Disney Welt mit mir kommen?" be better?

me too unfountinly at the week end we have to wait hours for it to open but usas get to play on it all day

I have no idea about time zones outside of the US. What are the opening-closing hours for VMK in England?

~Mia~

Would you like to come to Disney World with me?

I would translate it like that:

Kommst du mit mir nach Disney World?

I´d rather use du than sie, because it´s really an informal community here and we are all pals right ;)

A famous German entertainer once said in all his wisdom:

Can I say you to you?

Which is extremely funny if you know a bit about German grammar and the use of Sie and Du.

Cool, thanks. I'll change it. I only took one semester of German, my senior year of college, which was over 5 years ago!

Though I think we are considered part of the USA, Canada is a foreign country. Especially when shopping at Disney deals to have something shipped to Canada is outrageously expensive. So no Disney deals shopping for me. And Yes I to have to put my formal Canadian english training aside when playing on VMK and spell all words in there american origin. Favour is favour, Colour is Color etc.

So there you have it. There are quite a few Canadians on this board.

Hey I just noticed I am over 500 posts. Woot Woot. For me and I remember when I thought I would never post that many to even earn my ears. :)

I hear you! Colour is the one that irks me the most. I hate having to intentionally misspell a word to get it through the dictionary!

I am from Canada as well. (Most people can tell by my avatar name, but you would be surprised how many people in vmk ask - "are you really canadian?". :rotfl: :rotfl:

I did live in the U.S. (Boston) for 5 years though while I was going to college, so am well versed in the "American Lifestyle". We also love going to WDW, and are Disney Vacation Club owners. I have many American friends too, so I can't say too much negative about the U.S. I will just say that I am proud to live in the best country in the World!

Silly Canadians. Everyone knows it is spelled "color". LOL j/k.

And to whoever said they have 500 posts....I am almost there! YAY! (This is 495). :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

OK, I'll give it a try:

I love Virtual Magic Kingdom

or in Canadian:

This is quite an honour! So...while eating my favourite candy bar (peanut butter flavour) i noticed that my neighbour has a better colour computer screen for the Virtual Magic Kingdom, pretty cool eh?

Everyone knows that Canadians are just Americans with health care. ;)

And Lab Girl seems to speak fluent Canadian. :rotfl2:

Having traveled a little, and lived in another state for a couple of years, I find that many people think of California as a different country. LOL :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

So here is something in Californian:

I am like so all about the VMK dude!!

Of course being from the Southern end of the state:

Y'all be need'n to come on by, and stay a spell in VMK, bless it's little heart.

And yes, my neck is a bit red. :rotfl: :rotfl:
