Hello

How intense is the Spiderman ride for a 4 and 6 year old they both make the height requirements is their a lot of spinning like the tea cups?
Is there any actual drops or just simulated?

Thanks

My kids were 4 and 6 when they first rode the Spiderman ride and they loved it. It doesn't spin continuously. There are quick turns as you move from one screen/section to the next but not like the teacups. The "drop" is not a big drop either, it feels like it with the 3D effects however I don't think you actually drop far at all. It is certainly not the same feeling as say Dr. Doom drop. My kids, not super wimpy or super adventurous, just right in the middle....both loved the Spiderman ride and do it again and again. If anything were to frighten a younger kid it would be the 3D figures that "pop out" at you with the effects. But again, mine loved it and never mentioned being scared at any parts of it. Hope that helps.

The motions on the ride did not bother my 8 year kid but the 3d images were startling to her. She actually preferred transformers much more. When we go in December with my 5 year old we will be passing in it. They would have loved it before they changed it, more of a cartoon. I was sad it changed.

Just my opinion...

A little too intense for a 4 yo, might be ok for a 6 yo.

But every kid is different!

have to agree with that.
some rides are too intense for the preschoolers.

but, you know your child better than anyone else on what they can ride.

Depends on the kid..The images are 3d and IN YOUR FACE along with the motion and movement..Might be too intense for a 4 yr old.I know the first time my timid kid rode it ( she was 8 or 9 at the time) she didn't care for it because of the "in your face aspect of it" .It is now one of her favorites..You know your kids best

DD11 rode it when she was 4 because she met the height requirement. She HATED it. In fact, for years, she talked about the ride with the "red guy" and did not even like to see pictures of Spiderman (on t-shirts, in stores, etc). It took a long time for her to try it again, and now she tolerates it. She is an average thrill-seeker - hates Tower of Terror but loves Rock n Roller Coaster and Test Track. She has not ridden Hulk or DD yet but says she will this year.

My boys love Spiderman and wanted to ride the ride as soon as they were tall enough. At four years old there were some parts that were too intense for them. It was the 3D, in your face, bad guys. I found that taking off their 3D glasses made a huge difference and they ended up riding again and again.

It's always so hard, isn't it? My son loved it when he was 5. I suggest maybe looking at it with your kids on youtube prior to riding it. My boyfriend's 10 year old cried and freaked out on Forbidden Journey this year, which shocked me since he LOVES Harry Potter -- but he also had never really been to an amusement park. Whereas, my son, now age 8, has been wanting to ride the Hulk since age 3. I showed him FJ on youtube and he said, "I can handle it. GET ME ON IT!" So, it just depends on the kid.

It was my 4 year old's favorite ride of the trip. Almost 2 years later she still talks about how cool it was. :) -- she is not a terribly adventurous kid. Didn't dare to try TOT and hated splash mountain.

Lol I have to laugh only because I'm a WHOLE lot older than 4 or 6 and had to close my eyes at the drop at the end because it made me dizzy and a little nauseated. That said, it was one of my favorite rides there.

My daughter loved Splash moutain her favourite ride.
She is really excited for the Jurrasic park one

My tall 4 (almost 5) year old loved it and rode it twice. She has become pretty adventurous in the past few weeks and rode every ride that she was tall enough for at US and IoA. I'd say judge it on her and not her age because my 7 year old rode roller coasters that my 10 year old wouldn't ride.
