how important is wicking material

I usually dont bodyglide the feet, people find that works? Other fun thing about distance running, everyone has so many cool tricks you always learn something new.
 
I have the cold weather wright socks but just picked up a pair of the thinner ones. I used th ebodyglide on my feet and it worked great.

But what do I put on my sore hip at mile 6 :scared1: I am thinking of taking a motrin either around mile 6 or before the race....is there a reason I shouldn't?
 
They say running distance you should not use ibuprofen because it interferes with kidney function.Acetamiphen(Tylenol) is OK though. Training may not be as much of an issue as say 48 hrs before a race and up to 6 hrs after as long as you have urinated first to make sure all is in working order.

I slather vaseline between my toes...HEAVEN - bodyglide for other body parts, but you couldn't pry that vaseline out of my hands.
