How Important is the packaging?

I ordered Frogg Toggs chilly pads this week from Amazon. I ordered 2 different colors so they came from different vendors (didn't know that until the packages came). One of them was in excellent condition. The other came with the plastic storage container broken. It clearly was that way when it was put in the box to ship because there are not any remnants. How important are the storage containers? I'm trying to decide whether I need to send it back. Thanks!

I would not worry about it. If it had been used it would be stiff as a board. They are only soft if they are wet or have never been used.

It's still sealed inside a plastic bag like it's from the factory. I was more thinking about after use. Do I need the tube it comes in?

Once I open mine I throw the tube away. I carry them damp into the parks in a zip lock plastic bag. When I get home I launder them and they dry stiff so they will not fit back into the tube anyway.

Ok. Thanks for the explanation. I've never used stuff like them before but I bought them for my kids, especially my littlest one who has a heart condition and doesn't heat and cool well. They are for our trip to WDW in August but we are going to try them out at Sesame Place this week where it's supposed to be in the 90s while we're there.

It's hard to get them back into the tube unless they are wet. And even then, they wouldn't have the chance to air dry and might get moldy. After I wash mine, I just fold it in quarters loosely to dry if I am not planning to reuse immediately. At the parks, those babies will be staying wet!
