Last year I was our class president but lost the election this year because of Disney 
Our school always picks a theme for homecoming and last year it was vacation destinations! From that theme each class picks a destination and decorates a hallway and a float based on their class destination. Being the Disney freak that I am there's no way I was going to not do Disney I just wouldn't feel right about it. So I asked around and everyone liked the idea and never said anything negative about our class theme. Even though the other class did more "mature" destinations (New York, Hollywood, and Hawaii) I felt confident about it and was really proud of our class. Let me just say our hallway and float were awesome (Creativity is one of my stronger points and i worked insanely hard.) there was not one older classman, teacher, parent, or any person of my class who didn't tell me that it was the best Freshmen hallway ever! I know that sounds like I'm braging but I worked really hard on this. Being a Freshmen there was just a lot working against me I'm sur everypne knows what I'm talking about. I thought people really liked what I did and had fun but evidentally people like to change their minds in High School. This year I was not elected because Disney was "stupid and immature" even though everything was great nobody seems to remember that. I just can't believe the one thing that I love so much cost me an election. Although on the flip side I do love Disney, I'm glad I took a risk because now every time I think about homecoming lat year it reminds me of all the Disney magic! I know this is kind of funny me coming on here and sharing my class officer problems with everybody but I just thought maybe some other Disney lovers would have a little more concideration and understand where I'm coming from!
