how i got a pin

So never have i recieved a pin...ever! And i really wanted to get my hands on one for 2014. So i made an account for dh. Dont know why i hadnt before. I went in the old website and saved three trips. All for jan-march. This was last week. Today i get the mail and there is a pamphlet from disney destinations. Its a pin! For dh! My heart skipped a beat. It said "lets finish what you started planning" then i saw the dates. It was only for room % for just november. Blahhh.. i didnt price any trips for november lol.
But... i now know dh is in there system and a bit of how these pins work. I am gonna try saving some more in his name. For 2014... i was just happy to see wdw mail lol!

This is probably a dumb question, but what is the difference between the old site and the new site? When I put in the link above, it gives me the same site as if I go to disneyworld.com. Or is there a site I'm missing?

I love that old site. So much easier and seems more put together. Works better for me and all the info on our new reservation is there. Just a dif layout.
I created his account bout two weeks ago.
The dates are 11/1-11/25 and 11/30.

Not the greatest pin lol
It was snail mail. Has like a board game layout to it.
Its funny cause i didnt even save any november trips.

Was it a 15 digit code or was it just a 3 digit code? 3 digit codes are just rack rate advertisements. a PIN code would have 15 digits and would be for more dates than just a one month span.

I go to the old reservation website by googling "disney resort reservations landing" click on the result that is titled " WDW Reservation Landing". You will need to sign in with your disney login info. Search your desired vacation dates/resort and then to "save it" click on the "Walt Disney world" title in the top right corner. An info box will appear asking you if you would like to save this vacation. Click "yes" and then your vacation dates/resort/prices will appear in the right hand corner of the booking screen.

I am hoping (always hoping... ) for a pin code so it does not hurt to try this theory and see if it works for me. I have my fingers crossed!!!
