How & How Soon Can You Find Out if You Got Your Table Requests?

So I know when you get your key card in port that it includes your table number. My question though is if you made a table request (for us, to have a 2 person table), how can you find out if that went through or not? Can I find out in port? Do I have to go down to the changing dining place on the ship once we board? How does this all work?

To know whether you have a private table or not, I believe you will have to stop by the Dining Changes location -- the specific location will be noted in the Navigator that you receive at check-in.

I wasn't aware you can make this request before you board.. Once you board you can go to the dining changes place, which is normally located in one of the main dining rooms, and request it there. They will tell you immediately if they are able to grant the request. I haven't heard of them not honoring this type of request, so you should be good.

You can request it before sailing. On my first cruise I called and had it noted on my reservation. When we got on the ship we went and checked to see if we got our request which we did.

Definitely check... only once was our request granted without stopping by the desk and having them change it. Once they even pushed back, encouraging us to to meet the other two couples before we changed but we've sailed before with a bad experience and I was adamant so they changed it. There are only so many tables - once we were offered late dining instead in order to accommodate it - so going early to check is better than later.
