How Hot Is It Really in Late August?

How Hot in August? Africa / Oven / Sauna hot. I went in Sept. of last year and there was some intense heat to deal with. Bring sunscreen!

It feels hotter than Africa, because of the intense humidity.

Yes it hot it's in the 90's every day, but it isn't the heat thats the killer. It's the oppressive humidity day and night it never lets up. It's just as humid at 10 in the evening as it's been all day.
The humidity has a way of making you very fatigue. You will need more breaks, more down time to cool off. One of the things to be aware of is heat stroke this time of year. You need to drink lots of fluids more then you have ever needed before. The heat and humidity can make you very sick when your not used to it.

The key is take it slow and easy, lots of breaks and lots of fluids. When you feel your body overheating it time for a break. If you have little ones be aware their not going to tell you how hot they are until there sick.

With the whole free dining thing coming out and with us having tickets left over a trip late this summer could be pretty cheap and it is hard to pass up right now. We could really use another vacation and my DS is begging to go back.

I don't really care for the heat and the hottest time we have been to WDW was in mid-May. We do live in Missouri so we are used to hot and humid summers but exactly how hot are we talking about at Disney? Is it about the same as Missouri or even hotter?

My kids will be 4 and 17 months so I don't want the heat to be too much for them. We would do early mornings and spend lots of time at the pools, etc.. trying to cool off.

We went and it was soooo hot. We were miserable and actually had to buy desitin at the polys little store b/c DH and I were both chafed from sweating.

It's HOT & HUMID!!!! Definitely take frequent breaks from the heat & humidity by strolling thru the stores, stopping for bite to eat in a restaurant with AC, and going on rides with AC. DD & I still got sick, but a little rest in between everything helped us. Don't forget to keep hydrating everyone too!
