How hot is it during the summer at Disneyland?

The issue with anaheim is that the weather varies greatly from week to week. We have been there in July and had it be hot, but not so hot we were dying (like low 90's at it's highest, but mostly 80's)---and then there the same time the next year and it is swelteringly hot (like way over 100). This is because you can have the dreaded heat wave rain on your parade. I was there a few years ago in August, and man---it was blistering hot. The news was all about the record breaking heat, and we were right there for it.

The other problem is that when I look at weather.com at the highs for anaheim--for some reason when we are actually IN Disneyland it is 10 degrees hotter. I guess it is all of the concrete or lines, but it always is more hot when inside the park.

Up to 110 degrees but it tends to be a much drier heat than WDW. If we have a heat wave it is very hot but usually 80's and 90's.

WDW is FAR hotter in the summer than Disneyland. WDW can be downright miserable sweltering heat.

I live in Arizona so know hot well! Disneyland summers can be quite warm or rather cool on any given day but nothing like the incredible heat and humidity found at WDW.

Reminds me of a comedian we saw in Vegas once...saying "But it's a dry heat" and how one will "burst into flames" spontaneously, while walking down the sidewalk. :rotfl: We will be at DL in August so hopefully it isn't that hot. lol But good question OP! I was wondering about that myself.

in az its never below 98 in the summeran up to 118 (no joke) I think ive seen Disney land get to 112 on one of those 118 days for me an wishing i was there lol

But it dose very good luck at missing the worse. Remember those spray fan waterbottles 20 in the park 5 at walmart.

I'll take Arizona heat over Florida any day!!

Anaheim's average for August is high of 86, low of 63 with the summer months being the driest. Orlando's average for August is high of 92, low of 73 with the summer months being the most humid and wet.

I've been to both DL and WDW several times in the summer. You'll be fine at DL. It's sunny and warm but not swealtering.

Bottom line is that the weather is typically very nice. The low in June averages around 60 degrees and the high averages around 80 degrees.

Last year I was there in mid-July, and I remember wearing a light jacket the whole day, it never got hot.

I also wanted to add that unlike some very HOT climates, Anaheim will actually be stunning (sometimes even chilly) in the mornings and evenings. The weather drops dramatically when the sun goes down.

So unlike some hot climates you can take a break midday and nap or swim, or head to the water rides and water play areas to cool down and then hit the park again when it cools down.

Central Floridian is a sweltering yuck hot during the summer. It's humid enough that you'll perspire in a pretty not-so-great way. It will be hot, though, in Southern Cal, but more of a those-sun-rays-are-piercing heat, as opposed to be a I'm-in-an-oven heat like in FL.

DCA has the Rapids, a mister outside of Soarin, Princess Dot's Puddle Park, and the Bountiful Harvest area water area.

We always go in August and it is warm, not like home but it can get hot. With the concrete and asphalt radiating it can be a toaster. Not much shade in DCA. Get out of the sun as much as you can, take breaks, stay well hydrated, real well hydrated. We enjoy the heat so it is not much bother and usually very low relative humidity except in the AM.

We've done WDW in July and August - sticky, humid hot. We did DL in July and what a pleasure! Hot but oh so comfortable!:lovestruc

Yes, this is so true. It is always hotter in the parks than in the "real world".

I agree with everyone else that it won't be as bad as summer in florida. We went to WDW in november and we had a couple of days that were so hot and I don't even think it was actually that hot outside. It was probably only 80 at the most (it was 9 years ago so can't quite remember) but the humidity made it miserable and it felt much hotter than it was.

Must have been an off year because last April when we were at DL it was 104 to 106. We loved it!
