Yep, I was banking on those afternoon showers last August...they never happened. The only time it rained, for my entire trip to Florida for the entire two weeks, was in Castaway Cay, on our cruise. The skies opened and we were deluged. I was praying for rain while at WDW.....but, it never rained. Just that incessant heat/humidity. But, I'm headed back again Sept 4....obviously I didn't learn my lesson.Okay I haven't read through the other responses but I can tell you when we were there it was rough (and yes we're doing it again! Our anniversary is still the same time each year! lol). It is the age old problem of the humidity in Florida. It is very very sticky and heavy. The upside is that usually every afternoon there is a shower to break it for a while. Just pace yourself and enjoy....in and out of shops, hydrate, etc.

I think in my case, the angle of the sun is what gets to me. In May and June and July, it's more overhead, and the sun beating down on my head just gets to me quick. I can get overheated in a very short time and just have to get out of the park and back to the hotel NOW.
