How have park restaurants been with social distancing?

Will it be impossible to get a meal in a restaurant in a park in June w/ social distancing measures? Wondering if anyone has seen anyone else's experience with this since they've opened back up. We are thinking about going to US but wondering if eating will be a nightmare while there. Wondering about both quick service and regular restaurants. Thanks

I made reservations for Finnegan's for when we will be there Father's Day. I know you can make reservations for any of the table service restaurants. I called the number on the Universal app. From seeing vloggers reports, you have to have preordered from the quick service restaurant using the app before you can enter. Once the greeter verifies you have ordered, they show you to a table that is 6 feet away from others. It seems the biggest problem was when there were more people waiting to get into the quick service restaurant, some people were not remaining on the distance markers. I just wouldn't get in line for a quick service that had a big line.

Just checking if I have this right for the Quick Serve eating places: We HAVE to mobile order to eat at a Quick Serve? No just waiting to order? Does the app give us our AP discount this way? TIA for any info!

It depends on the location. For preview days they were bringing cash refunds for the discount; I don’t know if they’ve updated the app to take the discount off. Even without covid, who wants a cash refund?

I ate at the quick service walk up in Lost Continent last Sunday and that was mobile and in person ordering. I tried to eat in the Simpsons place but they were at capacity; when there is a table they seat you and you order on your phone. I read that the Three Broomsticks was mobile only, so I’m thinking places with inside seating are mobile only. But if you have allergies/eat vegan or vegetarian you’d still need to talk to someone as you can’t modify anything or see allergens on the app.

I read on another forum a server will escort you to the counter to order if you are paying cash, don't have a smart phone to order or need assistance. You can not apply the AP discount with mobile ordering.

Thanks for the replies 👍! We count on the AP discounts, so I guess we'll brace ourselves for long lines & waits just to eat 😔.
