How hard will it be to make this appointment? Should I reschedule?

I scheduled DD8 for an appointment at BBBoutique at 9 am on 4/3 - we are dining with Cinderella at 1900 at 5 and I wanted her to be able to wear it all day. This is their first appointment time for the day, and I figured that we wouldn't have any issues getting in and out then. We are staying in the WL.

My question - what would be the most expeditious way to get there?

If there isn't any other option but a cab, do you think I should move the appointment?

Are you asking how to get to DowntownDisney??? If so, I would allow at least an hour to get there from WL.. I would find out what time the buses start running, I believe it is one hour before the parks open, and then allow that hour to get there. Make sure you check with concierge at the front desk at WL.. they are very knowledgeable. If you are early, have breakfast somewhere in DTD...

Sometimes if I do not want to leave early and I do not have a car, I cab it. It is worth it and less aggravation worrying am I going to make the appt.

You do want her to be able to be in her sparkles, curls and dressy dress all day so I would keep the early appt.

I found that the girls didn't want to be dressed up in all the "frills" for the entire day...
The hardest part was keeping them dry (hair/make up) during thier rest period at the pool in the afternoon. We changed before dinner.
Next time...I'll make the appt. in the late afternoon, so all of us can enjoy the pool first.
Ask about transportation at the desk...but I would probably take a quick taxi..its certainly cheap enough!!

Have a great time!!

My girls not only wanted the frills the entire day, but I had to put the 'hair' on for the three days after that.

Be aware that the girls can opt for nail polish or press on nails - the press on nails don't last very long but are much cuter.

Unfortunately the DD buses don't run very frequently during the day so I would definatley check with consierge as a previous poster has indicated.

I would keep the morning appt. and be aware that you might need to bring a shower cap in order to keep the hair perfect for the next day.

The $10-15 that it would cost to take a cab is well worth it. It's a very small amount, considered in the total cost of your vacation, to have a stress-free trip over to DD.

The DD buses are the slowest of all, no matter what resort you're coming from or what time of day. They're much less frequent than the theme park buses.

I recommend a cab and the early appointment. we had the first appointment of the day when we went...by the time we were leaving, it was getting crazy! and both of my girls 10 and 8 loved having their hair done all day. we opted not to get the full package. they were much more comfy in their regular clothes. I don't think they would have enjoyed wearing one of the dresses all day...but they loved the attention they got from the hair! Have fun!

When my family went to DTD a few weeks ago we thought we'd have plenty of time to get back for our 4:30 reservation at CRT. We left DTD around 3pm and literally had to RUN to make the reservation, and we were a few minutes late. So give yourself plenty of time!

I would suggest talking to the Duty Manager at WL the night before. That way you are sure they are aware of your need.

Each Resort has an official sedan or van and they could have one of the hotel staff take you directly. This has been known to happen. Normally if you are very polite in your requests the CMs will tend to go out of their way to assist you.

You guys have great advice - I'm going to try the niceties with Duty Manager to see if that will get us the van option first, and as a second option will be taking the cab.

Thanks everyone who answered. Now I'm not feeling as anxious about this whole thing...

Chiming in a little late... I don't know about the transportation but I can tell you that we were there last week and I would definitely keep your early appointment.

My girls are little so they never could have kept up their "do's" all day but your DD is 8 so it'll be fine. We went at 5pm and the wait was a nightmare and there is no waiting area at the boutique except for the store which was also a nightmare. In short - take your early appointment time and enjoy the rest of your day! Have a wonderful time. The BBB (even considering how painful the wait was) was one of the highlights of our trip for our DD's!
