The title pretty much says it - how hard (or impossible:scared1:) is it to get ADRs during FD? I'm hoping to put together a trip the weekend before Labor Day and FD is available, but I'm wondering whether it's too hard to get a reservation. :confused3

Love to hear from anyone who has travelled this time of year before!

I've never had a problem getting ADR's on FD & this is our third time on FD. I call within the first day or two of my window, have everything ready & give my times. Sometimes I have to take a little earlier or later or occasionally move the day but we have NEVER not had an ADR for a restaurant that we really wanted to go to! There have even been times I've called much later to change things around a bit & still was able to get times. Don't forget, people change their minds all the time so even if you don't get the ADR on the first try, call back often to see if something opens up!

The only issue I had last year was getting Le Cellier and Chef Mickeys. But they are both difficult to get anyway

Getting ADR's during FD is not necessarily difficult as long as you work your 90 day window. Yes, there will be a few places you might not be able to get into, even at that point, but there will certainly be many options available to you. As you get closer to your trip date, you will find fewer and fewer options available to you. If there are particular places and/or times that you want to eat, call as soon as you're eligible. If you don't care about location or time, you'll still be able to find some places a few weeks before you travel. Getting them same day while your in Disney will be VERY tough if not impossible. That's the reason that often during FD they will offer a trade credit for TS of a CS and a snack (and sometimes more).

Don't be scared, plan early!

Start at your 90 day window and have a back up plan if your first choice is not available, it always helps to be flexible in your times too! We go every August for FD and we never have a problem, its all about being prepared when you call so you can say okay how about .....then instead:) Good Luck

We've gone Labor Day week the past 2 yrs w/free dining. We made our adrs exactly at the 180 day mark & got everything we wanted & at the times we wanted. With the new 90 day adr policy, we think it might be more difficult to get the adrs we want.

I am very worried about getting everything we want even at 90 days. My 90 day mark is June 14th.

The closer you get to your trip date, the harder it will be to get reservations, especially at the more popular places, character meals, and pretty much any restaurant inside a theme park. Call (at or within your 90 day window of course) as soon as you know where you want to eat.

and I've never had major issues getting ADR's. Have gotten into LeCellier every year with reasonable times (we eat 6:30-7:30ish), always snag a Fantasmic package and, my favorite, Rose & Crown @ 7:45 for the best view of Illuminations. I've also never been on hold for more than 5 minutes or so. I can't imagine passing up free food for fear of making ADR's. Really, its not hard!!!

One thing to remember is to try for the harder restaurants farther in your trip rather then at the beginning. Since the 90+10 rules, your first day will be someone else's later days.
