We are thinking of trying Cape May Cafe for breakfast in August as we have never tried it before. But how difficult is it to get from POP to there? We will not have a car. Thanks for any help.

I believe the best way to get there would be to take the buses over to disney studios and then hop on the boat to the beach and yacht club. Shouldn't be that hard at all. You could also take a cab if you don't mind spending the money, which would be your quickest option.

We have done this a few times, and always go by cab. It is about $10+ tip. Well worth the $13. For an 8am reservation we call & have the cab pick us up at 7:30 takes about 12-15 minutes to get there and are usually seated by 8. We like to plan this on a day we are doing Hollywood Studios after breakfast we just grab the boat to HS. This is our favorite character breakfast.

I agree with the cab. Is worth the money... and a nice change from the buses to just get there quick! We've done it every trip, taking a cab from either Pop or Movies. We just walk out front to where the bell services I guess it is is located and they call a cab over for us.

Don't take a bus to DHS to hop on the boat!!!! The boat doesn't start running til 8:45 (unless your breakfast is after that of course). We ran into this dilemma in December and thankfully ran into an amazingly nice bus driver who brought us directly to the Beach Club even though that wasn't his destination! A cab is probably your best bet.

Thank you all for the suggestions! Sounds like a cab would be the easiest and quickest. We weren't sure if we wanted to try this breakfast, but after these responses we will give it a try!!:yay: We always used to do Chef Mickey's, but last year when we were there, we did not like the experience-felt rushed and the food was not that good any more. Thanks again!!

I think you'll be very happy with Cape May. It's not as crowded and loud as Chef Mickeys. We always go at 8am and the food is always fresh and the characters look cute in their beach clothes. If you've never been to the Beach Club take a few minutes after breakfast to check out the pool and outside area, very pretty.

Thank you. And no, we have never been at the Beach Club. Six times to Disney and never over that way before. We will give it a try! :goodvibes

You could also take a bus from POP to Down Town Disney then a bus to Beach Club from DTD. For that matter you could take a bus to any park then hop a bus to beach club allow extra time if you do this though! Cab sounds like a nice easy way! :thumbsup2

Just to clarify you can not do this at DHS and Epcot as no buses run from the park to the Beach Club

Last time we were at Disney there was a special breakfast bus that ran just for people with breakfast ressies, don't remember the exact schedule, look into that.

Buses don't start running at DTD until 9:00 am or so.

Buses run early to the parks for early dining ressies; they would have to take a bus to the parks and then over to the BC.

The boat really does not start running until 8:45? Isn't there an early character breakfast at DHS? How would BC, YC and Boardwalk guests get to it if they did not want to do the 20 minute walk?

They call a cab, or walk...we were at Beach Club in January and talked to the guys at the boat dock around 8:30 one morning. They were telling people who got in line that boat would not be going until 8:45 or so. A lot of people then just asked for directions to walk to Hollywood Studios.

Wow. You would think that with all of the money you are paying for a deluxe resort, transportation would be more readily available to you.

I have never done this, but saw it recently on wdwinfo:

http://www.wdwinfo.com/transportation/bus_schedules.htm
Character Breakfast buses start running at 7:00am, and run approx every 15 minutes. They have the flexibility to allow direct transportation to the theme parks, and area resorts.

I believe you need to inquire at the front desk to make sure a bus comes to your resort for your character breakfast, but this is just what I've gathered from similar topics.

Hope this helps :thumbsup2
