How hard is it to get a seat in the Lounges?

Hey, all!

I am going on a solo-trip in June. I was thinking that the lounges (Tiffin's and HBD) would be fun places for me to have dinner. How hard is it to get seating for one in them? I have never been to either restaurant before, so I can't even picture the spaces.

Thanks so much!

Those particular 2, we've found it easy to get seats. Others we've found very hard.

Depends on the time you go too. We were able to grab lunch at Nomad Lounge at 11:30, but it got crowded very quickly after that.

There's quite a lot of seating at the Nomad, I've yet to have to wait there with parties of 2 and 4.

We did have to wait a good 20 minutes at the Brown Derby Lounge on Saturday, but we got there about 20 minutes after it opened so no tables had started to turn over yet.

I've done a lot of solo trips and some of my favorite meals have been in the lounges. I've had waits at HBD and the Tune-In Lounge sometimes, and been turned away from California Grill Lounge at times. If you want to do CG, go as soon as they open.

Nomad Lounge next to Tiffins is pretty big and has great drinks, but food is a mixed-bag (some good, some not). For an actual meal I think Tiffins is much better. I LOVED my solo multi-course meal at Tiffins.

Also recommended for solo meals: bluezoo lounge, Morimioto lounge or sushi bar, and Tutto Gusto. Morimoto has some great late-night lounge specials (the award-winning beef sliders).

River Roost at POR, a couple of hours before Bob's show, was impossible for us in June. A few tables were empty but "saved" with a lanyard or hat for the hour we hung out.

Tune-In Lounge at 50s always looks busy.

Blue Zoo lounge is great.

We had no problems at Territory lounge but Geyser Point was busy and packed under the roof. We found empty tables by the water, though.

Oh, if you are asking about other lounges my answer is quite different. But for the 2 mentioned in OP's original post, we've had no problems getting seats several times.
Other's yes, we've had many times where we could never get seats.
So if you are asking about ALL or ANY lounges, it varies. The 2 named in your OP, you have a good chance of getting a table.

Nomad- never an issue for us, we love that place. HBD- usually no issue but we have gone before when all tables were full and others were already waiting in front of us.

We were at Nomad lounge twice in October. On Sunday, we had no trouble getting a table outside. The following Saturday, it was packed inside and out. We had to wait for a table to open up and it was a matter of guessing who was going to leave to grab their table when they left.

Thank you! I was mainly thinking about the two I mentioned, but I will be staying near Disney Springs, so I might end up at one of the ones near there some night. I am super excited to try out Tiffins and HBD.

Tune In Lounge can be a challenge, although it might be easier for a solo. We’re looking for two seats at the bar together and have found it’s better outside of the peak lunch and dinner times.
