We haven't been to the World since they changed/reduced the value of DDP this year:confused3 . We used it the first few years and loved it, then just happened to skip Disney this year. Next trip for Spring Break 09. Remembering people talking about how difficult DDP made for getting ADR's, does anyone have an opinion as to how it might have changed if fewer people are taking DDP, and therefore making less ADR's?:surfweb:

TIA for any comments! :)

Neil

We have used the DDP for our last three trips and ADR's are getting harder and harder to get. It also depends on where and when you want to eat. I always phone at the 180 day mark and usually get most of my choices although the dining times may vary. I ended up witha dinner at CRT instead of breakfast but I am flexible that way. I already have my dining plan ready for our next trip in August and my 180 mark is not until Feb. 28th!! There are also back up choices in case 1st choices are already full!!!:thumbsup2

I think a lot of people still consider it a value. And only a small fraction of people who take advantage of the DDP are on here, so they may not even be aware of any change in value. They just see the convenience of the program. So I doubt it has changed at all. If anything, still getting worse since they are promoting it so heavily.

I just made all my reservations for our spring break trip and got everything I wanted--times and locations. I may have lucked out because the reservation window recently opened up, and people may not have known. I know I was stressing when I couldn't make reservations at 180 days as usual.

I booked my January trip less than a month ago and finished my ADRs yesterday. I got everything I wanted when I wanted. I got the last night of LTT with characters, PTC, Le Celiere(for lunch), Donald's Breakfast, Rose and Crown, Biergarten, WCC and Cape May Buffet.

Tink...when is your trip in March? have they opened up the ADR's beyond March 22nd yet?? My 180 day mark is tomorrow, but I can't make all my ADR's yet :( because of the new system they are upgrading to and as of Sunday they were still only taking ADRs until 3/22.

I lucked out because our trip is March 15-21. Hope you get your ADR's!
