at Coral Reef? We have a reservation to eat dinner there on July 2, but I am a little worried. I checked their menu over and honestly I don't see much on the menu. We have some picky eaters (My daughters and dad) and was just wondering if there was anything good on the menu...thanks!

i had the steak, and it was great.

hubby had the shrimp pasta and it was good.

son had pizza and it was good.

that is all i can say.

Although there are a lot of reviews on here that say otherwise, we have always been pleased with our food at Coral Reef. We have eaten there our last 2 trips (2002 and 2006) and our planning on another meal there this November. Our kids love the atmostphere and our service has always been very nice. Only one side of the restaurant has the views of the aquarium, but they are very nice, and you can see the view from anywhere in the restaurant. (Just FYI that you aren't sitting in the middle surrounded by aquarium windows.)

It was fine. Not our favorite meal of our trip last summer, but it was good food and a fantastic atmosphere! I do not eat seafood, so my choices were limited, especially since we were eating steak the next night at Le Cellier. We certainly enjoyed Coral Reef and the experience, but will not be going back anytime soon, just because there are so many other places to try!

We are trying the Coral Reef for the first time in November. DS and myself have no problem with food. My DS is the picky one. I did notice that they serve grilled chicken and pork chops. I've learned from this board that you can order the chicken and pork chops plain, with no sauce. That fits into my DW selection just fine. pirate:

I think you'll generally find that the food is good, just that the food isn't great to the point that it matches the experience of eating there, or the price. If you have the dining plan, of course, this is not a problem.

I just ate there last week with the world's least picky 2 year old. The food was tasty. The children's menu was outstanding! Fish, chicken, pork... I felt the portions were quite small as my meal was approximately the same size as my child's meal. Nothing beat the experience of sitting next to the aquarium and hearing my daughter talk to the sharks and "scare them away" with each round they made. Did I think it was a good value (if you are on the DDP absolutely) for an oop? That would depend on your definition of value, overall experience or food only? I will absolutely be going there again. PS We walked in with no adrs and only had a minimal wait because we requested tank-side (restaurant just opened for the day - best time to get walkins).
