I've always wanted to try their breakfast. Five read great reviews on the Tonga toast being very delicious as well as that Macadamia pancakes too. Just curious if it's worth making the trip out to the poly to eat there.

We are big fans of Kona's breakfast. However, we find that Tonga Toast is really, really too sweet for us. Instead, we go for the Loco Moco.

We found it to be fantastic! We went with more savory options than sweet - standout being their version of eggs benedict (the name changes, but basically versions are pretty similar - pulled pork, citrus hollandaise ) soooo good. Great coffee too.

Kona Cafe is a must for breakfast even if we are not staying at the Poly. Food, service and atmosphere is wonderful ( we love the South Pacific theme and will ride the monorail from the resort )

We eat there every trip to Disney at least once. We love the Tonga toast - but I enjoy a move savory breakfast so we order a Tonga Toast for the table and we share it. Although one DD orders if for breakfast. We love all of the items but the Macadamia pancakes are delicious.

We ate there for the 1st time on 8/21 & it was delicious! I had the Macadamia Nut pancakes which were great. Our food was hot & fresh & I thought the servings were large. I got 3 good size pancakes with bacon & couldn’t finish & I tried hard.
Service was perfect too.
I would recommend!

It's the best breakfast on Disney property IMO. The macadamia nut pancakes are just incredible. I'm trying to make them at home, I just can't stop thinking about them. The pot of Kona coffee is out of this world (and this comes from someone who doesn't even like coffee) and the Lili'koi (Jungle/POG juice) is soooooo good. It doesn't get better than this breakfast, and the Polynesian is an amazing resort to visit.

We love it. It’s a must do every trip. We skipped it this year because it didn’t work out with our schedule and I really missed not going.

It’s very good, one of my favorite places to get breakfast! My husband is obsessed with the eggs benedict and that pot of Kona coffee (which to me, tastes like any other coffee in the world, but I’m the only one who feels that way I guess!) I love the Tonga Toast but it is super sweet and I just kind of realized I don’t like to eat anything that sweet in the morning so I don’t really order that anymore, but it was my go to for a while. I have yet to try the macadamia pancakes but I hear they are great!

The pineapple macadamia nut pancakes are amazing, the coffee is excellent and my diabetic husband loves the ham & cheese omelet. Just FYI, they are very good about substituting sides for health issues. Never a problem to sub the bread and potatoes to tomato slices for him :)

Love Kona Cafe breakfast! My favorite is the macadamia nut pancakes!:thumbsup2

Totally agree with this. I could only eat one bite. It tasted like someone piled up a bunch of sugar cubes and soaked them in oil.

Sounds like the pancakes are the way to go.

We love Kona Cafe for breakfast too, and I dream of those macadamia nut pancakes! With a press pot of coffee, of course :)
