How good are you getting around in the dark?

We have a light that shines in from the street, so fine.
Driving not so much. My night vision has gotten worse with age.

I do ok in familiar places. I have a decent recall of obstacles and distances and can navigate fairly well in the dark. Some others may opine that I have been operating in the dark my whole life!

My eyes don’t adjust to the dark, so it’s very hard to get around with the lights out.

You know how when you first turn out the light everything is pitch black and then you start to be able to make out shapes in the dark? My eyes don’t do that anymore..I’m stuck at the pitch black part.

I have horrible eyesight do in my house it’s great - I get around fine
But gave up for the most part night driving as I just have too much trouble so I don’t do it - if it’s short trip in my neighborhood then yes otherwise nope and I mean short as in down the street short

Not terribly well. I have a variety of small flashlights around the house. I don't need much light, but if I gotta go at 4 in the morning I just need some light to avoid objects, especially since I'm rather nearsighted.

I'm totally laughing at this post because our family was away at a hockey tournament last year, staying in a hotel, my 17 year old got up to pee in the dark, tripped over his hockey gear (because it was everywhere drying) he fell and broke the full length closet mirror door. Thankfully he wasn't hurt but there was mirror glass everywhere. I went to the front desk the next day to explain the accident, thinking I would have to pay for it, but they were so cool and didn't charge me, saying there are glad he wasn't hurt.

Depends. I remember being in a room staying with friends when someone (not me) was angry and threw a glass at the wall in anger. We tried to clean it up the best we could without cutting our hands, and then called housekeeping mentioning there was a broken glass. Came back later and it was cleaned with a stack of fresh towels (that we requested) where there was nothing charged. I've also been to restaurants where there was a broken drinking glass or where my kid knocked over a bottle and an employee saw it and said not to worry about it.

Then again I stayed at a really nice five-star hotel in Asia while on vacation and at the breakfast buffet my kid dropped a ceramic spoon which obviously broke. Someone came right up to us and immediately ask for about the equivalent of 75 cents to pay for it. It seemed really petty to ask for that, especially when these were really cheap ones that they probably got in bulk at 5-10 for the equivalent of US$1.

I have night lights all through my house, so I can get around in the dark pretty well.

I have trouble seeing in the dark when driving. At home or at a hotel we have some type of light on at night.
