Gosh, I just did a half on Sunday and I kept thinking about the Goofy. I don't think I can walk 39.3 miles in two days. Man, that is just so overwhelming to me. I really admire those who can complete the Goofy!

This is so true. The other thing to think about is that you wouldn't run a half marathon at the same pace if you knew you had to do a full the next day. I couldn't run a 90 minute half and then do a full the next day but if I knew I was doing the goofy I would go much slower in the half so I had enough energy left for the next day. Heck, if I ran the first 3 miles of a half at the same pace I did a 5K I would be walking or shuffling before the end.
I agree! I just plan to finish the 1/2 with least amount of effort. I save as much energy for day 2 (Marathon) as I can. The goofy is a survival item unless you are a true stud!

I couldn't have said it better myself. When I ran Goofy this year, I ran the half 20-25 minutes slower than my normal pace and the full 45 minutes slower than usual. Doing so kept my legs feeling fresh and prevented me from getting tired and worn out during the weekend.

Thanks TEAMfor the encouraging words, but I walk a half in 3:21....how could I be any slower w/out being sweapt? I have time to think on this and hopefully improve my time. Thanks guys, this TEAMis the best!
