How fortunate is that?

My DW, DS, and myself are headed home in 19 days. We drive 18 hours to get there so we will not arrive until 20 days from today. My DW asked me yesterday, if we only spend one night on the road, where are we going to stay the night before we check into WVL? When I made this reservation back in January that though never crossed my mind (or maybe it did and I just reasoned that we would stay off property that night). Well, after she raised the question, I figured since we will arrive sometime around the normal check-in time, I wondered about my chances of getting an extra nightin the Villas. I called member services this morning and threw myself at their feet and, pleading that they not strike me, made the request. I swear I could almost hear them laugh. After being put on hold for well over 5 minutes (I figured they were having a good time laughing about my request), the CM came back on the line and said, "you're all set. Give just a minute to link your reservations together." Say what? We will stay that night in the same room that we will spend the rest of our time "at home" in. The CM said the reason for the hold was that after initially checking, it looked like something was available. He had to go retrieve it from CRO.

I repeat "How fortunate is that?"

We are anxious to be there.

Looks to me like another example of superb service from MS!

Happy for you! Have a safe and wonderful trip!

Sounds like a great outcome! Enjoy your trip.

One less unpack/repack day....that might be your best Christmas gift this year. :)

Have a wonderful trip home for the holiday season!

Congrats! We did a similar thing a couple years ago when the airline was on strike. We had to reschedule our flights and had to arrive a day early. Called MS and got a night added at the beginning just 24 hours before we left! No need to change rooms either!:bounce: MS IS GREAT!

I agree MS is great! I don't think that I've ever had a bad experience with MS except being on hold for nearly an hour a couple years ago. The wait time has seemed to really improve lately. I just called yesterday and got a Grand Villa at OKW for a whole week in May. I couldn't believe one was available only 5 months and a week out! We also got a 1-bedroom at Vero the following week with no problems. Is May really a low time for reservations or did I just luck out? The CM that made the reservations was fantastic and helped we with all my requests. After I hung up I wished that I had asked for her name.
