How fast does the line build for Peter Pan?

We are going to MK on Sunday, May 8. We were planning to go to Peter Pan at rope drop, but a friend advised to fast pass it. She said the line would be too long, even if we went there first. How long is the wait at RD, and how long does it take to build? I don't want to use a FP unnecessarily, but I also don't want to get caught up in a line there and miss the opportunity to walk on other rides at that time.

by the time you get there it will probably be 10-20 minutes, unless you RUN. But it still might be better to do that and use the FPs on other things

It does build up really fast. We used to speed walk there at rope drop and ride it, but we have started just using a FP for it, so we don't have to rush so much.

On the 4th of July last year that was the first ride I wanted to do! We were there for RD and walked up Main Street, stopped for a few photos with our group then made our way to PP. The line was actually a bit shorter than I would have liked because I wanted to spend a little more time in the themed line (my children would have no part of letting people pass while I watched for Tink and honestly I can't blame them). I wish there was a tiny but more of a line before we got in so I could have really taken it all in (yes, I know how silly it sounds for me to say that but it is true).

It routinely builds to 30 min as soon as 10-15 min after park open. Can be as much as an hour or more by 30 min after park open

We strolled over to it at rope drop one day and waited maybe 5 minutes. Now it's possible we just got lucky but everyone seemed to be making a b-line for SDMT or Anna/Elsa M&G.

It builds quickly because it is a somewhat low capacity attraction. If you move fast, you may be ok. You can't dilly dally on MS.

Now, we usually FP PP. We didn't FP PP last trip because we wanted to see the new que. We ended up not riding it. We tried to ride it a few times; however, we have a handicapped grandma and two little kids. Even when we arrive at RD, we are at the back of the pack. By the time we got there, going to PP right after RD, the line was 40 min. My kids can't wait 40 min. It was crowded that day....so YMMV.

We have gotten there not too terribly later than rope drop and experienced minimal waits. Use the FP for something else if you know you can be there early. I have had luck getting Pan for a late night 4th FP+ if necessary.

We did this first after rope drop in January and we went through the queue so fast that we hardly got to enjoy seeing the new things to see in the queue - I guess we could have slowed down, but that seems silly since we want to get to other attractions. I would say to stick with your plan to go there first and not worry if you have a little wait in the line.

A couple of times, briskly walking, got to PP before the attraction started admitting people.

The wait can easily be an hour long 30 minutes after rope drop.

We always hit PP at rope drop. Even with stopping for a couple of pics on Main Street, we have gotten right on. We are always there with ten minutes of opening and we have never waited more than ten minutes.

We did BOG pre-park opening and went to Rapunzel&Cinderella right at 8:50. We were out by 9:10. We walked to PP and the line was already at 45 minutes so we passed.

We spent 2 days at the Mk just after new years. We did not have a fastpass for peter pan but we definitely had it on our things to do list.
Both days we did something else at rope drop- first day we did the 7d mine train and the other day was thunder mt.
By the time we were done with those, the lines had already gotten over and hour so we never got to do it this past trip. I would say if you dont have a fastpass for it and you don;t do it first thing, a long wait is very likely. We'll try to get a fastpass next time.

One recent trip, I got a FP for PP at 11am but I went straight there at rope drop. The wait was 15 minutes so we waited and switched the 11am FP to something else.

We were maybe in the middle of RD crowds, went straight there, and waited about ten minutes. As we walked out the posted wait was 45.

We were there in February and had just eaten at CP, were standing on Main Street near Casey's at rope drop. We went right to PP and were the second people on. Would have been first if I could walk a little faster!

It builds very quickly, but the bright side is that the standby queue has a lot of unique sights. I actually consider the standby queue to be part of the line, so I never FP Peter Pan. If you are a swift walker at rope drop & know how to get there, the wait won't be too bad.
