How far would you fly on a plane with 1-2 seating?

I will never fly on a "puddle jumper" - In 1992 flew from Islip to Boston in one of those - Comair I believe. I get motion sickness but have no problem on jets - actually I did once on flight from Italy to JFK but lemonaid, ham sandwich and looking out window over LI (that horizon thing) and generally not sitting still were to blame there.

Puddle Jumper to Boston. At one point we hit turbulance and plane dropped and so did my stomach. Didnt hurl as far as I can remember but after that day I vowed never to fly in a prop jet again.

To answer question. How far. Zero miles. Fortunately dont have to as being near three airports offers many flights on real airplanes.

 Hmm....I guess one can tell I don't fly much. The one I was refering to many years ago was a tubo prop thing. It was the scariest flight of my life (and first plane ride to boot).

Did not realize there were other planes out there that could have been different. I was going by the seating and assuming it was same as "puddle jumper" of the past, I would be afraid to fly in it.

Thanks everyone for the clarification. This plane is the Embraer. I was unaware of what style plane it was. I feel better now. :goodvibes
The Delta Embraer 145 that we flew on a few weeks ago was a far cry from a "puddle jumper". ;) This is suppose to be one of the safest planes you could ride on. If you go to .http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Embraer_ERJ_145 you can get a better idea of what kind of planes they are. I'm sure there are other web sites but this on seems to give a pretty good stats about the plane. IMHO these are great, safe planes, and have the latest technology. Our ride was smooth. Taking off was nothing. Landing was a little bumpy but I'm not a big fan of flying in general and I thought everything went great. These are "real planes" they are not even in the same class as a prop plane. I just don't want to give the impression that these are planes that you would just hope and pray could get you to your destination. I would not hesitate to fly an Embraer 145 again. :wave2:

We just had direct flights on Delta both ways to and from Little Rock/Orlando last week on a little bitty plane with a 1-2 seating configuration. It was about a 2 1/2 hour flight each way. I have no idea what kind of plane it was, but it was pretty small. It was small jet. No propeller. We had to go out outside and up the little steps to get on and off. That said, it was a very comfortable ride. The seats were very, very nice and the ride was pretty smooth. You could feel a bit more movement than in a larger plane, but it didnt' bother me. I felt very safe and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. The direct flight was wonderful! Actually, I really liked the 1-2 seating set up because I was lucky enough to be in the single seat each way. Lots of room for me and no fighting for elbow room!
