Hello,

The wife and I are going to Disney May 6-12. We want to eat Dinner at the Corel Reef , Brown Derby, Cinderella's Royal Table, Tony's in the MK, Ohanas, and the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue. How far in advance should we make ADRs? Do we need to make some of them now, and some once we get to Dinsey??

The correct answer is "several months ago". More than likely for those dates you will not be able to get CRT or HDD. Brown Derby and 'Ohana may be difficult.

It will be tough. You really should have called a while ago. you can now make ADR's at 180 days prior to your arrivial. That however, doesn't mean you wont get anything, it just may take calling everyday for a week or 2 looking for cancellations. It took me almost 2 weeks to get H&V at MGM for a party of 7, but I ended up getting it for right about the time that we originally wanted.

Come up with a tentative plan, one that can be rearranged around some of the dining times. Take a later seating, then try back every now and then for an earlier seating or when you finally get there, show up early and there is a good chance you will get seated earlier (happened to our party of 7 one night at Chef Mickey's,,, showed up almost 1 1/2 hours early and got seated in 15 minutes. That doesn't mean it will happen every time, but the will try to accommodate you) (PS: I hate spelling)

Hmmmmmmmm.
Okay, I will give two responses. If you (the OP) is pulling our collective legs, see response B, if you are genuine, see response A.

A. Call tomorrow at 7 am. Have backup plans and be flexible with your times. You will most likely not get every ADR you want, since many of those places book up at 180, or even before (with the 180 + 10, or in the case of HDDR accept res. 2 yrs in advance) I would research other places that are less "in demand"- especially resort places like Kona, Boma, Palio, etc. If they are "off the beaten path" they may be less busy. Also try off peak times. There are also many great counter service options. :teeth:

B. You became suspect to me when I saw that you knew to call them ADR's but you apparently don't know they are taken more than 60 days in advance? CRT AND HDDR also tipped me off that maybe you were deliberately selecting the most popular places? :confused3 Or do you really want to do HDDR and the Princess breakfast without kids? Sometimes I can't tell . . . we're going to Crystal Palace and we're 2 adults, so . . . . :rolleyes1

Just covering all my bases. :goodvibes

i am going to disney May 9th to 17th. i called yesterday and successfully (with NO PROBLEMS) made ADRs at O'hana, Le Cellier, Sci Fi, Teppenyaki, Chef Mickey's, and booked the FDP for Hollywood and Vine. So, i would say that if you call around now you have a sporting chance at getting ADRs.

oh, i should also mention that i made an ADR for Coral Reef for lunch, but then decided against it. lol. maybe you can get my ADR? :thumbsup2

sorry. last one. i forgot to mention that it is just me and my boyfriend going.

Thanks for the replys,
We just booked our trip two days ago. My wife just got her pharmacy license, and didn't know if she could get a whole week off work yet. Plus we had to go to a wedding in orlando on may 12 anyway. We were orginally just going to go to disney for a day trip, but after she got time off, we decided to stay for 6 nights. The eating places I listed at the top of this thread were only for supper time. My wife likes Tigger and Pooh Bear, so she wanted to eat breakfast at Crystal Palace. I remember the Corel Reef and Brown Derby when I ate their as a kid (like 13 years ago), so that's why we want to go their. As for the CRT, is that worth it for Dinner if we are able to get ADR?

Last question, how do ya'll decided when you are going to eat at certain places? Do you decide to eat supper at a certain resturant on the day you go to that park?

We were initially going in June and we had all of our ADR's. 2 Days ago we moved our trip forward a month to may. I called yesterday and made all my ADR's for every restaurant I wanted at the exact times I wanted. I got

'Ohana
Chef Mickey's
Le Cellier
Crystal Palace bfast
Boma
Coral Reef
Cape May Cafe
50's Prime Time

Technically you can do it. HDDR may be the only one you may have a tough time with.

Well, I called and got most of what I wanted. I got Tony's. Ohana's, Crytal Palace, Hoop Dee Doo, and Brown Derby with Fantasmic dinner package(the ADR is for 4:30PM though, that's a bit early).
The Corel Reef is booked up completely for my entire stay though, so I guess I'll have to keep calling to see if one has opened up.

I didn't ask for a ADR for CRT, because we're not sure if we are going to go there or not anymore.

We are going May 7th-13th, maybe we will see you there, not knowing of course. I made our ressie in Jan and did not have any problems. However I have made a few changes lately. I have gotten all of you ADR's but a couple are 10 mins before or after no big deal. Here are the place we have in order and they are dinner.

Whispering Canyon-7th
Le Cellier-8th
50's Prime Time-9th
Kona-Breakfast 7:30am 10th
Grand Floridian Cafe-10th
Boma-11th
O'Hana-12th

All of our dinner except Boma and O'Hana are around 6:30pm. Boma is 7:30 and O'Hana 5pm.
Also I chose what days I wanted to go to what park and just made our dinner ADR's to match the park of the day.
