How far out does Disney typically release hotel discounts?

I have a 5 night trip for early August planned. i Only need a room as we have enough to tickets for my son to use and I have an AP voucher in MDE to activate the night we arrive. I am considering adding a night to our stay but need to purchase a one day park hopper for my son (i checked it will cost $200, yikes!) and change our flight hitch at this point is about $160 for both of us. So here is what I have so far:

extra night in hotel $250 (based on booking a new room for new dates same hotel)
changing flight. $160
buy one day park hopper $200 (we have never stayed in one park an entire day)
which is about $610 plus food

but all of this is based on rack rate because there aren’t any discounts listed for our trip. Anyone know when they might release those discounts? This is our last trip for a very long time. And before you ask, no we cannot add a day to the tickets for my son, won them and they are single day tickets. They say something about not being able to apply to AP or add days. I just put them into MDE and tossed them Once they were linked.

TBH, Disney has been pretty stingy with discounts as of late. Foreign travelers are returning. Resorts are filling up without a need to offer domestic travelers a discount. If there is an August discount, you may not see your resort included. But you can always book now and hope for a discount later.

TBH, Disney has been pretty stingy with discounts as of late. Foreign travelers are returning. Resorts are filling up without a need to offer domestic travelers a discount. If there is an August discount, you may not see your resort included. But you can always book now and hope for a discount later.

Thanks, I will keep an eye on the thread. I do have a reservation now, once the final decision was made to go, I booked flights and hotel right away to secure those knowing we weren't going to need tickets. I will admit though, I did change our flight to MCO to an earlier flight and it cost me about $150, was a little mad at myself for not booking the earlier flight the first time, lol. Part of me doesn't want to spend any more than we already are but the other part of me knows I won't be going back now for a few years so I want to really enjoy it.

January 5th discounts dropped for dates early March to July 7. Our TA applied it to our stay at POP in April.Saved $157.00 total.better than nothing I guess.

Did you get to apply the discount that dropped today? I was able to save $322 on our July stay at Wilderness Lodge.

I did! An extra night was $20, lol. How do I not book it for that?? Well then the flight change but still between the 2 it was cheaper than 1 night of rack rate.
