hello

just wanted to know how far is the walk to capt marvins- we will have DS5 & really don't want to go on a long trek

thanks:sunny:

Captain Marvins is about a 5 minute or so walk from the tender dock. We were booked with Captain Marvins, but switched to Nativeway Sports, since they pick-up and drop-off right at the dock. We're traveling with a 6 YO and 3 YO, and after 3 hours in the sun on a boat, they will probably be tired and not want to make the walk back. That 5 minute walk would then turn into a 15 minute walk of torture for us, so we choose the company that will drop us right off.

our 4 year was fine with the walk - captain marvin's office is in a building with some gift shops and near some restaurants - we did the half day and then stopped for lunch on the way back to the dock

we've used captain marvin's twice now (and you have the option of buying a video of your excursion now - they all may have it) - everyone goes to the same spot to see the stingrays -

The walk is really short we did it with a 3 year old and a 7 year old. There is a small liquor store on the same side of the street that sells rum cakes. They also have samples inside too. Yummy....

oh, okay...its not far then, thank goodness:)

jel0511, do you know the web address to native way sports- i would be interested in hearing more about them- did you like this company & would you use them again

My 4 year old is not one for long walks but she was fine going and coming form Capt. Marvins. We actually allowed WAY more time for the walk and shopping than we needed to and we got there almost 2 hours before we should have....there was a boat going out then and the bus was still there so they let us take the earlier trip! I would use them again in a heartbeat!!

Hi,

The walk isn't long at all and the people there are so great that I'd never use anyone else. I did use the Disney excursion once, but they took us to a deeper part of the sandbar where we couldn't stand and the stingrays were all about 15' below us. Total bummer. Capt. Marvin has had amazing service, nice guides, and on the boat ride out and back, they look for wildlife and stop for photos if there is anything interesting. Did you know that Capt. Marvin is 86??? He's still piloting one of the boats and he's a real character!
Hope this helps,

Here you go...
http://www.nativewaywatersports.com/ I've never used them before, but have read good reviews of them. All my inquiries with them have been timely and they are very nice. I've used Red Sail Sports before in Grand Cayman, but you have to get to the Hyatt to sail with them.
