How far is the Doubletree...?

Can anyone tell me how far the Doubletree @ Walt Disney World is from the Villas at Saratoga Springs? We are renting our car from Budget car rental located in that hotel and I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to get there. We were thinking of getting a taxi from the SSR, but we will be in DTD for lunch and didnt know if it was in walking distance from there.

A few years ago you could call them directly and they had a shuttle that would pick you up @ your hotel. Unsure if they still do this or not.

Kind of depends on what constitutes "walking distance" to you. The Double Tree is the furthest of the DTD hotels but its still walkable from there. There are nice sidewalks and crosswalks with streetlights.

I believe it's just under a mile from the MktPlace.

Shouldn't be a problem for an adult in good health, who could pick up the car and then gather up the rest of the party at DTD.

I called this morning and confirmed with the rep at the desk of the Budget DoubleTree Hilton location that they will pick you up from a Disney resort if you call them and make a "please pick me up" reservation 24 hrs in advance.
