How far is the closest store, local grocery/walmart etc?

We'll be driving in by car this year and although we'll be arriving too early for our hotel to be ready, I'd like to stop and pick up a few items for breakfast in the room, or, more than likely run back out once we have fridge access so I can buy a couple of gallons of milk for my milk drinking infant.

How far is the closest place to go by car?
We'll be at POR.

We like to go to the Publix grocery store on Hwy. 192 (also known as West Irlo Bronson). Publix is at mile marker 9 in Kissimmee. Very easy to get to and the prices aren't bad either.

If you go out World Drive to US192 and head west, you will pass a Publix on the right , before the Western Beltway, and then there will be another grocery on your left a little way further, after the Western Beltway.

Also, if you leave WDW via Hotel Plaza Blvd. and cross 536 into the plaza there is a Gooding's (upscale).

Everything mentioned is within 5 or 6 miles. There is also a Super Wal Mart with about 7 to 8 miles I believe. I have been to it several times, just never measured the actual mileage.

I think the closest grocery store is Goodings, but it's also more expensive. We usually stop at the Publix on Vineland. Here's a link to All Ears Net's grocery page (although it's a bit outdated, it lists the Publix as "under construction").

We also use the Publix on Vineland as it is opposite the Premium Outlets
