How far is sea world from DW? I am staying at CRS and thought we might go here one day. Can we take a cab? How expensive would it be? Also how much time should I plan on spending there? Any info on sea world would be appreciated. I would be taking my 6 yr old son. TIA!

sea world is about 4-5 miles from Disney. call mears they have a special bus that takes people from Disney to sea world. it would be cheaper . this bus run on certain days. taix would be expensive maybe 60-75. mears cost maybe 30,

You can also take the public bus to Sea World. We did this before. To do so you go to the Ticket and Transportation Center, and go to the exit, keeping left. There is a Lynx bus stop and you wait there -- you would want bus #50. the bus then stops at DTD West Side out in the parking lot, and then a couple more stop along the way. The Sea World stop drops you off outside the parking lot so you will need to walk across it, it's not bad. For the return, you walk across the street to catch the bus back to either DTD or The Ticket and transportation Center. It was if I remember correctly less than $1.75 per adult each way -- kids are a reduced fare, I think. if you take that option, make sure to take exact change because the driver nor machine will make change for the fare.

golynx.com would have more info on the schedule and fares.

It's a public bus, not a disney bus so the drivers are not as outgoing and friendly as the Disney ones, but it's an average public bus. It was the least pricey option we found, and for us it worked out well.

thanks! I will check out the public bus. My 6 yr old is not certian he wants to go now. He said it looks a bit scary. LOL!

I would plan on no less than a whole day at SW. So much to see and do. We're from WI and loved it because it so different than anything we can see around here. We were in FL for 6 days, did all the parks, and our 7yo and 4yo loved SW just as much as MK. Go figure. I would recommend seeing the shows - pets, dolphins, seals, and of course shamu. They also have a small area with small rides that I'm sure your 6yo will love. Have fun.

If you go to Mears web site you can get cab cost estimator from different places. They also have a shuttle, I called Mears yesterday and from SW to universal was $18 pp round trip, a cab was $14 one way

What's the best (or cheapest) way to get tickets for Sea World?

Thanks

I got them online printed them at home it was less than buying there.

We did the public bus too it was great 20min or so to get there very easy.
