How far is it from HIFS to Universal?

How far is it from HIFS to Universal? I'm trying to determine if I decide to make ressies at HIFS, should I just book the whole stay there or move closer. We will be spending time at WDW & Universal. Any ideas? thanks

We were debating to stay 2 nights at a Universal hotel...but we think that it would be more economical to stay at HIFS at $82.00 a night which includes the breakfast...but the perks at a US hotel sound great...

According to the HIFS web-site, the hotel is 10 miles from Universal. I think it took us about 20 minutes to get there. There are lots of red lights, but the trip is interesting----lots of attractions and restaurants, etc. to look at during the drive.

I suggest a good map and keep one eye on the traffic but don't panic. We used Rt. 4 to Universal on the return trip to HIFS we exited Rte 4 to avoid a 5 mile traffic jam.
Don't panic, the exit for Sea World will bring you to International Drive which brings you back to HIFS. Also on the other side of Rte 4 is Vineland which goes to Universal east of the park enterance, just be aware of where you are once you get into traffic.
We used HIFS as a pivot point for WDW, Sea World and Universal
which allowed much flexablity.
