how far is Discovery Cove from Seaworld?

Hi

we are going in 3 weeks time - can't believe it!!!

I've learnt so much from these boards - I mean I was just going to go without a plan or anything until I began reading the threads. Now I think I am fairly organised (with many thanks to Signtalker for doing me a wonderful itinerary). But have just thought of something. Is Discovery Cove near to Seaworld - and how near is near? Is it just across the road or 20 minutes walk away? We won't have a car and I know the I Drive trolley goes to Seaworld and our hotel does shuttles to it but neither goes to Discovery Cove. We are staying on IDrive so if it's a fair walk we might be better off getting a taxi. Can anyone tell me please.

Also - and sorry if this sounds stupid - but what do you lot wear on your feet in the parks. I live in flip flops in the summer but now think I might lose them off one of the rollercoasters!

Think that is it (for now, though sure I will think of other things as time gets closer).

I can only help with Question 2

Depends where I am going as to what I wear on my feet. For example MK, AK, MGM and Epcot you could wear your flip flops as you won't loose them on any rides there. But IOA/Seaworld I would probably wear trainers as I would be likely to loose my flip flops on Kraken or Hulk.

Hi,

Get the trolley to Seaworld and where you get off the bus there is phone that connects over to DC and they will send a Range Rover over to pick you up.
We didn't know that and used a taxi.
When we were leaving DC we asked the quickest way to Seaworld and as quick a flash they had a Range Rover there to take us over to Seaworld. What a brill service!!!

Hope you have a wonderful trip! And I envy you so much going to Discovery Cove - we've never made it there yet!

As regards the flip flop dilemma, I have a solution! I HATE wearing trainers in the heat and live in flippies there! If you're on a coaster (Hulk, Duelling Dragons, Kraken, etc), just before you pull down the restraint, take the flippies off, secure the restraint and slip your hands through the straps of the flippies so they're like bracelets on your wrist! Works a treat!
