My DH and I (no kids) will be going to WDW in Sept. Driving down from NJ right after Labor Day. How far in advance should we book our room/tickets in order the get the best prices?

I would wait til the end of March beg of April to see if they are going to do free dining again, if you dont mind paying rack rate for the room. Otherwise I would look for any special booking prices on different sites.

I'd book it now, just to make sure you get the resort you want...

When DH and I went in 2008, I booked in Feb for our Dec. trip.. then just kept an eye on any deals coming out. When the deal code came out (happened around Sept if I remember right), I called them up, and they just applied it to our reservation.

Book now. If you have AAA, start with their discount.

You can always get them to apply a promo or a pin code.

Both times I booked our flights right about now and found that I did well in terms of airfare as well. (Take a look at Jetblue out of JFK.) Take a look and see whether it's worth considering.

Don't forget the window for making any dining reservatrions if you plan on eating out. I beleive it's 180 days in advance. You don't have to have your hotel reservation made to make dining reservations.
