I've just booked our flights and now I am deciding on which hotel to stay. How far in advance should I book? We are going in September.

If you were planning on coming during the summer months, I'd say book pretty soon, as that is a busy time. I think you have time for a trip in September. The current promo I believe runs out the end of April & they will probably have another one....I'd wait to see if anything good comes up when the current one ends.

I'd actually wait. Promos change quite frequently and they have end dates so what is current now may not apply to dates so far away.

I would book somewhere at a refundable rate now. Then cancel it if something better comes up.

I booked today for August, we got a great rate at the carousel inn for 83.00
I needed it close for the little ones.

NOW! you can always book one or two hotels then cancel the one you don't want.

I already have mid Oct & 11/29-12/17 booked at the HoJo and we might not go at all for the rest of the year. I wanted the ent rate and I can cancel all of it or what we don't use.

Yeah you should book now, I booked my HOJO hotel already and I'm not staying until October 20th

If you know your dates go ahead and book now. If rates go down you can always cancel and rebook. But if rates go up you will be locked in at the lower rate. I've saved over $60 a night by booking in advance.

If you find something you like now, snag it. You can always cancel the reservation later if you find a better deal. :confused3

I agree with the other posters...reserve now and just make sure that it is refundable. Check out places like hotwire and priceline's name your own price if you are looking for a great deal and don't care about being at a specific hotel. I did that and got the Marriott Suites for $44/night in a king suite! :goodvibes (www.betterbidding.com will help you out with this!)
